Home Depot brings back fan-favorite Christmas decoration after flying off shelves last year

Home Depot has brought back one of its most popular products from last Christmas, as the holiday season draws closer.

Hitting shelves once again is the Grand Duchess Twinkling Balsam Fir Tree, which went mega-viral last year on social media.

In videos that got millions of views, influencers gushed over how beautiful the pre-lit artificial Christmas trees looked in their homes.

The trees come in three different sizes - 7.5 feet, 9 feet and 12 feet - though all the 12-footers appear to be sold out. Shoppers also have the option to buy a full tree - which has more branches - or a slim tree that might fit better in a tight area.

A full 7.5-foot tree costs $349, while a full 9-footer costs $499.

To make the trees more realistic-looking, they have 4,539 branch tips. On top of that, there are 3,400 lights that are already installed.

Last year, Karen Pacelli had the most attention grabbing video about the popular Christmas decoration, garnering more than 6.1 million views.

The video panned around the tree as its lights shimmered. She also made sure to have the fireplace channel on her TV to complete the aesthetic.

This year, Bre Powell was one TikTok user among many to record herself setting up the tree step by step.

'Truly the most beautiful tree I’ve ever seen! It has colored lights too if that’s your vibe,' she wrote in the caption.

There were hundreds of comments on her video, most of them telling her how great her tree looked.

'I have the same one, it’s lovely! I have nightmares when I set it back up on Halloween night, that not all the lights will work,' one person wrote.

'I have the same one and I’m obsessed with it too!' another wrote.

'I need to save money, I need to save money!!!' a third tempted commenter wrote.

These trees have gotten so popular that multiple content creators felt the need to compare the 2023 and 2024 versions.

Sara Beth Clark posted one of these videos, putting the 2024 model on the right next to the 2023 one.

She noted that this year's tree is dimmable, whereas last year's is not.

'Gorgeous tree for sure, if you have light sensitive eyes like mine,' one person commented.

Many people commented on these fake tree videos telling people to give Costco's version a try.

The big-box store also sells pre-lit artificial trees, though theirs are more expensive.

Costco's 7.5-footer is $499.99, making it $150 more than Home Depot's.

Its 9-footer is $200 costlier than Home Depot's.

The true bargains can be found on Amazon, where a 7.5-footer sells for as cheap as $134.
