REVEALED: Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes sat apart at Chiefs game as they 'wanted different vibes' amid her public support for Donald Trump
Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes reportedly chose to sit apart for the Chiefs vs Ravens game this week because they wanted different experiences watching the NFL opener.
The singer and Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick, sat together for multiple games last season and spent time with each other in Amsterdam earlier this year when Swift was on tour.
But in the last few weeks, Mahomes has gone public with her support for Donald Trump at the upcoming presidential election, a view that is seemingly at odds with Swift.
It made their distance at Chiefs vs Ravens on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium all the more striking, but according to The Sun there is no animosity between them.
'They are very good friends and they were so excited to go to the game, but they had different plans as it happens sometimes,' a source was quoted as saying.

It has been claimed that Swift and Mahomes wanted 'a different vibe' to watch the game

'Brittany is a family woman, and Taylor likes to enjoy the game sometimes like it’s a party. They felt like they were in a different vibe for the first game of the season. They did hang out for a bit before and after the game while waiting for Patrick and Travis.
'But Brittany preferred for the first game of the season to be in a suite with family and the kids, in a bit more of a "low key" vibe. Taylor wanted more of a ‘party and drinks vibe’ for the game and enjoy it differently.
'There are absolutely zero tensions between them, they love and respect each other a lot, they were just wanting a different kind of vibe for the first game of the season at home.'
Mahomes shared a selfie from the field with her daughter Sterling before the game, while Swift was filmed throughout the game in the stands with Kelce's friends and his parents, Ed and Donna.
Swift and Kelce have since flown to New York for the weekend and were pictured at a Brooklyn pizza joint on Friday night.
The Chiefs are off until Tuesday, with their next NFL game a week Sunday back at Arrowhead Stadium against Cincinnati Bengals. Attention in the stands that day will inevitably turn to where the duo sit.
Days before Mahomes went public with her support of Trump, her and Patrick went to Rhode Island to stay at Swift's mansion alongside Kelce and a number of their mutual friends.

The Chiefs beat the Ravens 27-20 on Thursday night. Kelce had a quiet game but still helped teammate Mahomes enter the Chiefs record books on the night.
Mahomes picked out tight end Kelce with a 23-yard pass in the second quarter. It was Kelce's first major moment of the game but it was a historic moment for Mahomes as it made him the all-time passing leader in franchise history for the Chiefs, overtaking Hall of Famer Len Dawson.
As Kelce made the catch, Swift leapt up off her seat and hugged Kelce's mom, Donna.
