Earlier this year, viewers praised Asha, after she casually came out to her dad Dev.
The teen stunned her father by revealing she was about to go on a date with her pal Nina Lucas, played by Mollie Gallagher, but insisted she didn't want to put a label on her sexuality.
Asha brushed off her father's concerns after learning she was going on a date with a girl, and insisting she'd always be honest with him after splitting from her controlling ex-boyfriend Corey Brent.
Viewers praised the touching scenes for positively depicting Asha's coming-out, with some saying they hoped it would inspired other LGBTQ teens to be open about their sexuality.

In April 2020, Manchester actor Adam Hussain replaced Zennon Ditchett, who had played the role of Aadi since 2009.
The actor made the decision to leave the show to focus on his A Level Studies at the end of 2019.
Upon joining Corrie, Adam said: 'I am excited to play the role of Aadi, putting my own twist on him as the character becomes involved in an important new storyline.
'I was already good friends with Tanisha Gorey, before coming to the street, which helps hugely with portraying the bond of brother and sister.
'Everyone at Coronation Street has been so welcoming, bringing me in to their family and treating me as one of their own.'
