Louis' low-key New Year comes after he attended the funeral of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne.

The singer attended Liam's funeral at St Mary's Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire on November 20, where he was reunited with Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.

It was the first time the group were seen in public together in nine years as they paid respects to their 'brother' Liam, who fell from a hotel balcony in Argentina on October 16.

The four singers arrived separately at the church as they joined friends and family of the 31-year-old in a poignant final send off.

Girls Aloud member Cheryl Tweedy, who is the mother of Payne's seven-year-old son Bear, was also in attendance along with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, 25, and One Direction creator Simon Cowell.
