Ricki Lake reveals she lost her 'dream home' in devastating Los Angeles fire: 'It's all gone'

Ricki Lake shared a heartbreaking post on Wednesday to reveal that she and husband Ross Burningham lost their 'dream home' in the devastating Pacific Palisades fire.
The Hairspray actress, 56, took to her main Instagram page to express that the 'loss is immeasurable' and described the Los Angeles wildfire as an 'apocalyptic event.'
Along with a collage of 20 photos of her home, Lake emotionally penned to her followers, 'It's all gone.
'I can't believe I am typing these words. After a valiant and brave effort by our friend and hero @kirbykotler_ Ross and I lost our dream home.'
Reality star Spencer Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, were other celebrities that lost their home, while stars such as Ben Affleck, James Woods and Eugene Levy faced mandatory evacuations.
The Pacific Palisades fire - which began Tuesday morning - has currently burned 5,000 acres while taking numerous homes and other structures that have been in the path of the flames, per The Los Angeles Times.
The Eaton Fire - which started Tuesday night in the Pasadena area - has since burned 10,000 acres while the Hurst Fire near Sylmar has burned around 505 acres.

The Hairspray actress took to her main Instagram page to express that the 'loss is immeasurable' and described the Los Angeles wildfire as an 'apocalyptic event'
Ricki added, 'This description "dream home" doesn't suffice. It was our heaven on earth. The place where we planned to grow old together.'
'We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved malibu for granted, not even for one second. I shared our sunset views almost daily with all of you.'
'This loss is immeasurable,' she wrote, adding that the home was also, 'the spot where we got married 3 years ago.'
'I grief along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event. Praying for all of my neighbors, my friends, my community, the animals, the firefighters and first responders.'
Lake typed that both she and Ross 'escaped' with their dog named Dolly but 'not much else.' The actress shared she will later share more but 'for now I grieve.'
The star uploaded a series of photos that had captured special memories of her home over the years.
In one image, Ricki could be seen flashing a cheerful smile and throwing her arms into the air as she posed in her garden that was filled with colorful flowers and views of the Pacific Ocean in the distance.

In another, both she and Ross - whom she tied the knot with in 2022 - snapped a selfie with the setting sun shining on their faces as they enjoyed the views outside.

She shared photos of her home at night which was surrounded by large trees and greenery on top of a hill.
Lake held a big smile on her face while sitting next to the swimming pool at her home as her dog was propped up on her lap in an additional snap.
She uploaded other images of the interior of the residence which contained wooden flooring and various windows that allowed natural light to stream inside.
