But Boy George stripped off to reveal his makeup-free face on Wednesday as he celebrated his 55th birthday in Japan.
Taking to Instagram, the Grammy-winning musician shared a video of himself miming along to an the words of a Japanese intercom announcement.

Keeping a straight face throughout the cheeky clip, Boy George wrote in the caption: '#japan #boygeorge #cultureclub #2016'.
Meanwhile, his legion of fans made sure to leave their birthday wishes, with one commenting: 'Happy birthday George have a fabulous day!!! Massive inspiration to me'.
Another fan commented on his seemingly ageless appearance, writing: 'Gawd U Haven't aged a bit since I was a Kid [sic]'.
