He's currently in the early stages of making a new film, which is set to star Christoph Waltz and Louis Garrel. 

And Woody Allen took a break from the director's chair as he arrived in Barcelona, Spain with his wife Soon-Yi Previn and their adopted daughter Bechet, on Tuesday.

The filmmaker, 83, looked relaxed as he arrived at the airport ahead of the family trip with the actress, 48, and their eldest child, 20.

Woody dressed up for their flight, as he donned a tweed jacket over a light blue shirt, which he tucked into pink trousers.

Completing his look, the Midnight In Paris director covered his grey locks with a black fisherman's cap, while he stepped out in heavy-duty red boots. 

Soon-Yi looked effortlessly chic in a black sleeveless summer dress, which she complemented by wearing a pair of peep-toe clogs.

Matching her husband's style, she offset her attire by wearing a white sun-hat over her chocolate brown locks.

Meanwhile, Bechet kept things casual in a grey tank top and cropped denim jeans, and she kept warm with an oversized grey jacket.

Alongside Bechet, Woody and Soon-Yi also share 19-year-old adopted daughter Manzie Tio Allen.

The couple married in 1997, but Woody initially didn't think their relationship wouldn't be serious when they started seeing each other.

'I started the relationship with her and I thought it would just be a fling. It wouldn't be serious, but it had a life of its own,' he told NPR in 2015. 'And I never thought it would be anything more.

'Then we started going together, then we started living together, and we were enjoying it. I'm 35 years older, and somehow through no fault of mine of hers, the dynamic worked.'

The relationship caused controversy when it began because Allen was in a 12-year relationship at the time with her adoptive mother, Mia Farrow.
