Big Little Lies star Ivy George 'earns $20k per episode for her role as Laura Dern's daughter Amabella in HBO hit'

She's starred as Laura Dern's daughter Amabella in Big Little Lies since season one.

And child star Ivy George, 12, seems to be reaping the rewards of appearing in the hit HBO show, as TMZ reported on Thursday that she earns $20k per episode.

The publication claimed the actress' minors contract ensured she gets the sum for each episode she stars in, and predicted she'd earn a total of $140k for the second season as she's expected to be in all seven episodes.

TMZ also reported that while she doesn't receive any profits made by the show after its release, she allegedly receives free airfare and lodging during production.

As well as appear in the show, Ivy also attends press junkets, photo shoots, and other media engagements to help promote the series.

The actress' character has been through quite the journey, as she accused Jane's (Shailene Woodley) son Ziggy of trying to choke her at their school orientation.

During the first season, the mystery of whether Ziggy did commit the act remained a significant secondary plot for the lead characters.

Things got so out of hand that Amabella's mother Renata (Dern) even created a petition to try and get the child kicked out of Otter Bay school, however he claimed it was in fact Max, one of Celeste's (Nicole Kidman twins, who did it.

The series — which was created David E. Kelley — also stars Meryl Streep, Adam Scott and Alexander Skarsgård.

The HBO show reached the halfway point of its second season recently with its episode She Knows, which includes a birthday party and a betrayal.
