About this ebook

Poetry is a soulful expression of our innermost emotional experiences. It is at once detached and emotional; at once rational and irrational; at once beautiful and ugly; but it is never without meaning. For each reader, a poem may have a very different interpretation and may stir up very different emotions as our brain taps into the memories of our past and links these events with the meaning of the poem. For some, a poem may stir anger; for others sadness; and for others the same poem may provide hope. This is the essence of human experience and emotion its depth, individuality, and meaning. It is for this reason that identical twins are often quite different. It is for this reason that a clone of me will never truly be me. Who we become is not only the sum total of our genetic material (the science or nature), but also, and probably more importantly, it is the sum total of our shared experiences in this life (the art or nurture). Through poetry, an individual is able to provide readers with a glimpse into the art that has influenced his/her life to make them who he/she is today.
