He said, "You seem a bit shaky," but he seemed a little annoying. I suddenly had this image of him actually being in my living room and me punching him out. The idea developed from there into: what if he were magic, and had the ability to grant me wishes?(less)

I'm not the publisher of the audiobooks so I have to wait for publishers to offer to produce them :) That hasn't happened yet for Three because it's a screenplay book- not sure how a screenplay would "sound" as an audiobook. I haven't pushed for it to be one because it's that format and didn't think there was demand: you've now inquired so I'll ask Dreamscape if they're interested!(less)

“I clean, I help with the cooking, I set the fires. Everything I do gets eaten or dirtied or burned – at the end of a day there’s no proof I’ve been here at all.’ She paused, kneeled down beside me and stroked the embroidery on the edge of my skirt. It hid the repair she’d made when I tore it on brambles. ‘Me needlework will always be here,’ she said. ‘I see this and I feel … well, I don’t know the word. Like I’ll always be here.’ ‘Permanent,’ I said. ‘And the rest of the time?’ ‘I feel like a dandelion just before the wind blows.”

“You meet dozens of people who tell you you can't do it. Surround yourself with the people who believe you will do it. Seek out and spend time with those rare people who tell you, no BS, why you haven't done it yet, what it takes to do it, and how they could help you do it. Note how this advice works whether 'it' is robbing a bank, opening a gallery, or writing a bestseller. "It" is up to you. But you can't do it alone.”
Heather Grace Stewart, Three Spaces

“Don't over edit. Don't second-guess yourself, or your ideas. Just write. Write every day, and keep at it. Don't get discouraged with the rejections. Tape them up on your office wall, to remind you of all the hard work you put in when you finally start getting published! It's all about persistence and passion. And have fun with it. Don't forget to have fun.”

“You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.”
Mary Oliver

“Writing is easy. You only need to stare at a blank piece of paper until drops of blood form on your forehead.”
Gene Fowler

“We dream to give ourselves hope. To stop dreaming - well, that’s like saying you can never change your fate.”
