She's royal and smart and easy to talk to and her narration is so damn funny! Especially when she talks about her Mom.
Yes! I do agree with that Love thing. I think what's between bea and Jonah is more than love or friendship. But I just kind of thought they will be more than friend at first, but after I gave some time to think, I like it that way. The way their friendship's written is unique. I know I haven't read so many books like others (only 321 books), but I never read a book like this. It's so unique. Even after I finished, I still thinking about this book a lot--even now! I know what creepy iam must be, huh?
This book is so deep! It's not like I expected from the start, but it's totally better than I've expected! I loveeee it!!! I kinda hope I know for sure what will happen to Jonah, but I don't want either in the same time. The open ending, even though it's frustrating, is so bittersweet. It's so realistic and on the other hand, it's beautiful too. I mean, this world is not always has a Happy Ending right? With the way the story ended, it feels more real to me, like the characters do exist and somewhere out there, Jonah is alone (well, in my imagination, he did art again and he's happy, even though he's never coming back and meet Bea, he always remembers her. And, I repeat, he's happy. That's what important for me #team Jonah To Be Happy xD. And for Bea? She found new bestfriend and she's happy in New York now. She still saves Jonah's picture and she looks at it sometimes, smile at it and she thinks about Jonah for old time sake, but that's it. They move on). Hey, it could possible, right? That's what open ending is for ;) anyway once again (I'm sorry for my VERY LONG message! It's just so nice to talk to one of my favorite author!), I love your ROBOT and iam grateful I've a chance to read it in my life! I plan to read more of yours. I hope you write some more realistic fiction, you do have talents in this genre ;) Keep writing Natalie! Take care! Love you!!!

Rahma, thank you so much! I'm glad you loved ROBOT--it's really thrilling for me to read your comments. I think "Casper" loves Bea in the biggest sense, more than romantic love or friend love but just big overwhelming indefinable love. As for his future: you're right, I left it open-ended, and you seem to feel instinctively what his life is probably going to be like, but you never know what life will bring, so we can't say for sure. I know that drives readers crazy, not knowing, but it was the only way I could end the book that felt right.

Hai Natalie! OMG I can't believe I'm talking to you right now. So, I read How To Say. Goodbye In Robot yesterday and it's totally blown me away! I totally love it! So my question is, when Casper said that he loved her (Bea), does it mean love or friend 'love'? And after I read the ending I kinda feel they won't meet each other again forever.
Am I right? It's hard and painful to think that Jonah will be alone in this world. But I just hope...do you think he will recover somehow? Maybe he would meet someone that could bright his dark world? I donno, he's just so broken and I love him and it hurts to see him hurts. Since this book I haven't read any other best friend book that ripped my heart in two (I've watched the boy in the stripped pajamas? About the world war II? Yeah since then there is no book/movie that could cry my heart out until I've read this. You're SOOO talented!!!). I love this book so much.
