“Find her with the flowers.
The roses,
The marigolds.
Find her telling stories that
She’s never before told.
Find her when she is vulnerable
And honest
And true.

When you find this girl,
Just know
I’d keep her close
If I were you.

She’ll write a tale in growing time that
Almost seems to last forever.
Don’t ask her when she will stop daydreaming.
She will simply look at you
And say,
“never”
Because forever in her fairy tales
the girl with the flowers will be.
Finding things of inspiration
To keep her heart beating
And her spirits light
Humming a simple harmony.”
Alice Tyszka, Finding My Light

“One of the greatest parts of life
is being greeted
by moments that make you certain
you are
where you’re meant to be

- I was meant to be in this wild wind”
Alice Tyszka, Embracing The Storm

“Searching for Love in Everything

We are so much like these rocks
I think to myself
One morning
While passing a sea of black, gray, and white

Pebbles
All different shapes, sizes, colors

They drift past one another
On land or in oceans

All while we collide, we crash
Gracefully or without
the intention of even
finding one another

Is it messy or beautiful?
Our choice or fate?

We all have a home
We all have a story

And perhaps
we are found
In the waves that rush

Where
over time
we lose our sharp edges
And the water
All-knowing
Smooths us out
Reminding us to be
gentle with ourselves

Perhaps the boulders basking in the light
On land carry similar knowledge
And, like us
Maybe they love watching the clouds in the day
And even more
the stars at night

Maybe all of life ponders the change
the earth makes as we constantly
gain and lose sight

As we try to follow a path
to love this life

There must be love to go around
In all places
In all things

Isn’t all of it a greater message
for the love present in this world?

They were here before us
And will remain long after

Perhaps one day
Long after

Love will exist
For and within
Everything”
Alice Tyszka, Loving this Life

“I love you like in the storybooks. I love you like in the ballads. I love you like a lightning bolt. I've loved you since the third month you came and spoke with me. I loved that you made me want to laugh. I loved the way you were kind and the way you would pause when you spoke, as though you were waiting for me to answer you. I love you and I am mocking no one when I kiss you, no one at all.”
Holly Black , The Darkest Part of the Forest

“Let love guide your, heart and everything else will fall into place.”
Astrid Scholte, Four Dead Queens

“Be patient, child. Be calm. Be selfless. Wait for the right moment. Wait for your time. Rule with a steady hand. A steady heart.”
Astrid Scholte, Four Dead Queens

“The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska

“So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska
