Anne Elisabeth Stengl makes her home in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she lives with her husband, Rohan, a passel of cats, and one long-suffering dog. When she's not writing, she enjoys Shakespeare, opera, and tea, and studies piano, painting, and pastry baking. She studied illustration at Grace College and English literature at Campbell University. She is the author of the TALES OF GOLDSTONE WOOD, which currently includes seven novels and two novellas, with plenty more works due to release over the next few years. Doings at Drakenheath - Looking to 2017

All righty, I know I've been gone for too long. And a sweet little note (in story form) in my inbox this morning reminded me that I should probably give all of you an update on events coming in 2017. So here you go . . . .

FIVE SOMETHING SOMETHING

Yes! Rooglewood Press will be doing one last fairy tale retelling contest! I just had a long, sit-down meeting with my core team about it this month, and Read more of this blog post »

“I'll never tell you to stop loving. You see, I believe in hopeless love. Oh yes. I believe in it with all my heart, though you may discount the heart of an old nanny like me. For real love brings pain. Real love means sacrifices and hurts and all the thousand shocks of life. But it also means beauty, true beauty.”
Anne Elisabeth Stengl, Moonblood

“If a man has to ask for your trust, it's a sure sign that you should not give it. Trust should be earned inherently, without any verbal demands. Trust is knowing a man's character, knowing truth, and relying on that character and truth even when the odds seem against you.”
Anne Elisabeth Stengl, Heartless

“I could try to care, but I ain't sure it's worth the bother.”
Anne Elisabeth Stengl, Veiled Rose

Naomi Hey!
I just wanted to say thank you for adding me as a friend! I love all of your books, especially Heartless (I've read it three times :p. I think I cried each time), you are one of my favorite authors, right up there with Tolkien.
I entered the fan art contest back in March, will there be another one in 2017?
And congratulations on the new arrival!!! She is the most adorable baby girl! (I love her name....)
Quick question, have you ever thought about writing any historical fiction?
And may i just say.....Eanrin is brilliant. The End.

Anne Stengl Hi, LadyJane!

DRAGONWITCH actually takes place a LONG time before Leo and Rose Red are even born. But I do plan to write more about both of them! Leo, in fact, has a major role in my upcoming SHADOW HAND (though Rose Red, sadly, is only mentioned a few times. You'll have to wait a little longer to see more of her!)

But I will give you an interesting little tidbit about DRAGONWITCH--You'll get to meet Rose Red's grandfather. :)

Alpha Good Evening Anne!

I want to thank you for adding me as a friend. Right now, I am reading your first novel Heartless and thus far, I am really enjoying. I hope to buy all your paperbacks in one purchase since I love owning hard copies.

Feel free to message me back anytime. I love building bridges and getting to know my friends more. I hope you have a great rest of the work week.

May God Grant You a Blessed Day!
Alpha OUT!
