I would love to get a copy of the book to present to my bookclub. We are a group of 12 in suburban Philadelphia and the group does not have much exposure to the Holocaust and Jewish people in general. I have studied the Holocaust for many years and always try to add a relevant book when we make our selections for the year. Last year I had to fight to get them to read "The Book Thief" and afterwards they said they were so happy that they did. You can contact me at [email protected]. Thank you

The Wife's Tale: A Novel

There was a geezer shouting off on the wireless during thewhitbread Costa shortlist discussion that neither The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet by David Mitchell or Solar by Ian McEwan were mentioned in Costa or Booker when they are patently the best books of 2010. (there was a hattip to Trespass by Rose Tremain also)

Is there anything on this list that isn't in an urban fantasy series? Ugh

Did you see the list best of 2011? That is even worse! It is all the same stuff. mostly romance, series.
I've read two of the top 100 books. Room, and Major Pettigrew's Last Stand. Both are twelve thousand times better than the top ten on this list. I mean, SERIOUSLY. Vampire Academy?? You've got to be kidding me.

I don't think it's "100 best" as much as "100 most popular".. common mistake, I suppose.
