Heinlein really had a creative mind and it shows in the world of Magic Inc. I do feel that the story got off the rails a bit as we find out who the real bad guy is, but this is a solid tale, it's almost hard to believe that this novella was published in 1940. I would have liked to see more of this urban-magical/modern fantasy world....more

This is a bit of a weird collection though I suppose the theme is space exploration/outer space drama, as all of these stories involve interplanetary This is a bit of a weird collection though I suppose the theme is space exploration/outer space drama, as all of these stories involve interplanetary and/or interstellar travel, but all 3 stories happen in different universes that Heinlein created, although the latter 2 stories do have a overlap in later books (The Cat Who Walks through Walls - which could be seen as a sort of sequel to the Moon is a Harsh Mistress - To Sail Beyond the Sunset, and the Number of the Beast) Granted, it's been a while since I read any of these books so I can't remember if Starship Troopers eventually crosses over with the other universes as well but all 3 stories are entertaining though with Time Enough for Love I really recommend you read Past through Tomorrow first....more
