And this idea of limiting your emotions based on logic is too ridiculous to buy. Everything about Tom was either awkward or plain obnoxious. Not my hero....more

The love story is super hot, both hero and heroine easily likeable. Garrett is such a badass, one of my favorite Kleypas heroines. I was wondering who would she pair with this extraordinary woman and I'm happy to say that Ethan was a perfect match!
On the side note I think that's when my crush on West started. Oh isn't he dreamy......more

It was all warm and sunny and it felt like meeting old friends.
The moment the Ravenels arrive is just perfect - sun, ocean breeze and Gabriel topping up the whole picture walking all disheveled and sun-kissed with a kid on his shoulder. We were only spared the view of a wet shirt.
Gabriel is handsome, smart, funny and very rich. Unlike his parents he grew up in a loving family so does not have any demons to fight, respects ladies and the institution of marriage (right). He seems just too perfect, so to make him a little more human Ms Kleypas equipped him with these mysterious kinks, which leads me the topic of the mistress...
I get it, we needed something bad about him, but I'm afraid this was a notch too far. His focus should be on Pandora only and instead he keeps bringing up some woman who gets him in the bedroom. Gee, Gabriel, you're a romantic hero, it's your heroine who should get you in the bedroom! Also maybe I'm too XXI century about these things, but if you bang someone for two years and buy them a house, that's not a one night stand. I would not trust a dude who leaves someone without a word and marries a chick he just met. And maybe when he said that he didn't love the mistress was supposed to be to his credit, cause the love was for Pandora, but it actually made me think even less of him. And then she confronted Pandora and he AGAIN focused on her instead of protecting our heroine... Whaaat a bloody mess..
Don't know about you, but to me Sebastian with his "I never sleep with the same woman twice" left a lot more room for a beautiful love story. This whole mistress business was just ugly.
It was still a good read, and NOT only to see Sebastian mature into a Sean Connery style hottie. It's just that I can't help to be skeptical about the love story and just have to sympathize a bit with the wrong characters......more
