Pero teniendo en cuenta que están liando la que están liando porque su mundo, bellísimo, ya no tiene nada que los alimente y están desesperados por el hambre, no sé yo si ir ahí, no será tanto como ofrecerse de pinchos morunos ante un montón de dioses enloquecidos de hambre, sobre todo para el demonio que irá con ellos, que será todo un manjar, dado su gran poder. Y bueno, el portal que se cerró del todo dejando en otro universo a la mitad de los protagonistas que no pueden volver ni contactar, también es un ligero problemilla, ahora que lo pienso. Pero vamos, se alcanza a vislumbrar ante nosotros, el próximo final de estas 2 estupendas sagas en crossover. No son el tipo de vampiro sexy que suele aparecer en este tipo de novelas, sino seres que provocan rechazo (no tanto como los de Kate Daniels, claro. Esos son los vampiros más puag que leí jamás, creo) pero bastante espeluznantillos. Me gusta la forma exponencial en que este universo crece en amplitud, complejidad y profundidad con cada libro, y sin que tengan que parar a explicártelo, como suele suceder, sino que sale todo de una pieza enredado y anudado a la trama. Cassandra Clare siempre propone un universo excelente e imaginativo con unos argumentos absorbentes con giros muy sorprendentes. Pero sus tramas amorosas tienden a estancarse por el truqui un poco visto de que los personajes se callan cosas y todo evoluciona a golpe de malentendido (recurso muy de Telenovela, que me desespera y con el que cada vez tengo menos paciencia. Odio pasarme el libro "Díselo", "Diselo", "Pero, pero... por qué no se lo dice?"). Aunque esto le reste puntos, como la leo por ese asombroso universo que supo crear y que me encanta, que las tramas amorosas sean un poco lloronas para mi gusto, lo considero un mal menor. Me lo estoy pasando muy bien con esta saga. No sólo porque estamos leyéndola entre unos cuantos y comentándola, que da más juego, sino porque en sí miMe lo estoy pasando muy bien con esta saga. No sólo porque estamos leyéndola entre unos cuantos y comentándola, que da más juego, sino porque en sí misma es muy absorbente. Los 3 primeros libros narran cómo se forma e intenta sobrevivir un grupo de supervivientes de una debacle tremenda. Y ahora se deja ese grupo con la historia sin terminar y seguimos a otro grupo al que acabamos de conocer, que supuestamente, se encontrará con el de los 3 primeros libros, más adelante. Además, cambia también la estructura del libro que se divide en 2 partes: "Preludios", que narra el inicio del desastre desde diferentes puntos de vista y lugares del mundo, contados por sus protagonistas en primera persona. "Orígenes": la formación y vicisitudes de un grupo como el de la trilogía anterior (que supuestamente acabará encontrándose con él) pero en Madrid y con una tasa de mortalidad muy superior. Al principio me dio un poco de bajón porque ya me había encariñado con el grupo anterior y lo que quiero es saber de él, y no conocer a uno nuevo. Así que me dio como rabia. Y eso que iba avisada. Creo que uno que vaya leyendo la saga por orden, sin saber nada, pudo haberse llevado un chasco morrocotudo. Porque de pronto parece otra serie. Pero claro, este autor sabe cómo llevarte de la nariz a donde quiere y al rato ya estás inmersa en esas historias tan absorbentes. He de decir sin embargo que aún no me he encariñado con ninguno como con el otro grupo. Claro que me acompañaron 3 libros y estos medio libro (la primera mitad habla de otra cosa) y los que más me gustan son los que mueren....more

Para empezar, ni siquiera salen mujeres en el libro. Va de 2 asesinos en serie (varones) que sólo asesinan hombres. Las mujeres no aparecen ni fregando suelos al fondo. Los secundarios son varones también. La crudeza de las escenas me ha causado revoltura de estómago, a pesar de que la forma de escribir de esta, por entonces, mujer (cuando escribió el libro) me parece absolutamente hipnótica. Poética incluso, en contraste con la brutalidad insoportable de lo que describe. Me parece una escritora, ahora escritor, muy especial. Pero ya se me hizo dura la lectura de su novela de vampiros. Esta... me dejó muy mal cuerpo. Aunque me hechiza su forma de escribir, leo para disfrutar. Esta crudeza es excesiva para mí....more
