This time it is the heroine who doesn’t want to settle down. She is a widow and her husband was abusive. Hero is a tortured playboy but he has a heart of gold. The plot moves a little too slow for me but it was a good read. Epilogue was heartwarming! ♥️

Hero is looking for a contract wife, he wants no emotions, no children just an arranged marriage. Heroine is looking for a rich man not because she is a gold-digger but because she needs money for her brother's surgery. However they soon fall in love and Kinsley is pregnant so all bets are off. Safe: no virgins here but they are both faithful. Epilogue with 2 kids and heroine graduating is adorable. Can't wait for book 2!

I have to say that it is a long time since I enjoyed a romance book so much. Should you wish to buy it, be prepared for not being able to put it down until the very last page. The emotional roller coaster journey between hero and heroine is absolutely thrilling. Loved the crazy angst and the alpha sometimes even cruel hero so much! Sebastiano was so arrogant and sure of himself. He just couldn't, wouldn't believe the baby was his! I know I'm a weirdo but I love it when heroes treat my heroines badly because I love a good grovel! Michelle Smart is now the queen of Harlequin Presents as far as I'm concerned!

He suffered so much loss and pain. Nicholas was a charming playboy and at the same time a deeply insecure hero. Love what Anika did for him. She was the sweetest heroine. She loved him and their baby unconditionally. Loved how they both let go of the past. This book warmed my heart! EG is a relatively new Harlequin Presents author but she has my attention!
