I didn’t believe the romance at all (I think I’ve been spoiled by reading a ton of queer and non-queer romances). The court plotting was boring and not complex, and since I usually love that that was a blow. All the women are stupid and evil. I don’t regret reading but I won’t revisit....more

Ignore the cover. This book is a delight—touching, fun, sweet in a possibly unrealistic but not at all unwelcome way. I tend to enjoy darker fare but I was totally sucked in. Even with knowing all the beats of a romance I couldn’t put this down....more
