Outros que gostei bastante: • A mão do macaco (W. W Jacobs) • A loteria (Shirley Jackson) • O tarn (Hugh Walpole) • O barril de amontilhado (Edgar Allan Poe) • Venha ver o pôr-do-sol (Lygia Fagundes Telles) • Vovó (Stephen King) - porém mais uma vez fiquei incomodada com a forma que o King descreve corpos gordos.

Achei uma leitura leve e divertida (dei algumas risadas enquanto lia), mas também me irritei muito com alguns personagens a ponto de pensar "ai não, xAchei uma leitura leve e divertida (dei algumas risadas enquanto lia), mas também me irritei muito com alguns personagens a ponto de pensar "ai não, x vai aparecer de novo pra encher o saco?".
Apesar de todos os personagens serem adultos (tirando as duas crianças filhas do casal), alguns deles se comportavam mais como adolescentes (alguns até como pré-adolescentes). Enfim, não se tornou favorito nem queridinho, mas foi uma leitura divertida e boa para me distrair. Quero continuar a série....more

Quando fiquei sabendo da existência desse livro, imaginei que seria uma leitura leve e divertida, mas, apesar de ter dado algumas risadinhas enquanto lia, o que mais senti foi incômodo e irritação por conta de alguns personagens.
Do começo ao fim não consegui gostar da Phoebe nem do George.
Talvez eu volte aqui para escrever mais depois que conversar com o grupinho do catarse sobre o livro....more

Aaaaaa! eu tô tão feliz de finalmente ter lido esse livro. Uma leitura rápida, envolvente, divertida e emocionante. Animada para ler os outros dois livros da trilogia ♡
obs: não esperava encontrar tantas cenas de sexo então achei que seria legal avisar isso aqui para caso alguém não se sinta confortável em ler cenas desse tipo (Red aparentemente teve aulas com Monica Geller).

Fiquei triste, angustiada, com raiva...é um livro que é impossível você não sentir durante a leitura. Impossível não se questionar, não sentir vergonha (se você for branco), não se inconformar.
Uma leitura que, se trabalhada com cuidado e sensibilidade na sala de aula, pode gerar muita discussão e mudança.
A minha experiência de leitura foi ainda mais incrível porque fiz em conjunto com um grupinho muito especial (apoiadores do catarse ♡) e ficamos por mais de 3 horas conversando e trocando experiências sobre os assuntos abordados no livro. Recomendo demais uma experiência assim.
Importante: não é um livro leve e tem muitos possíveis gatilhos....more
