I lowered my rating because, compared to the other books in this series, there is less action with the protagonist, Lydia, and a subplot not relating to her takes the majority of the book.
Having said that, this series is one of my favorite in the crime drama genre. The storyline is original, enthralling, and the dynamic characters are well rounded and the protagonists are well liked. I was afraid that this one ( the sixth) might be the last, as the author is starting another Justice series. I am very pleased that is not the case. T..E. Woods has fresh ideas for each book. The characters are evolving, and readers are privy to their inner thoughts and consciences. It is a hallmark of a great author that readers become so emotionally invested in the characters! Start at the beginning on the series ( all are 4 or 5 star material).

Scot Harvath and his cohorts never fail to entertain. This is the best of the best in story telling: well developed and engaging characters (as well as ultra evil antagonists) coupled with a dynamic, explosive plot torn from today’s headlines. Great read!...more

Then, after the fictionalized story, Dr. Jeremiah presents a detailed study called “The Scripture Behind the Story” to conclude each chapter. This structure is intriguing! He explores cryptic passages, various interpretations and symbolism found in Scripture and provides application for us as we witness the evil forces at play in the world today.
I appreciate how Dr. Jeremiah skillfully explains the prophetic passages and symbolism found in Revelation and other books in scripture. His research and knowledge is exhaustive. I also appreciate the extensive footnotes that document his presentation. Dr. Jeremiah references expository commentaries and other articles from notable and respected biblical experts and theologians.
This book appeals to the Everyman; it is not dry doctrine of the end times. Rather, it is written in a style that is extremely engaging as well as enlightening. It is comprehensive yet concise, at only 273 pages. Very informative and interesting! Highly recommended for those who want an understanding - but not an overwhelming one- of Eschatology, the study of end times....more

This book is fun to read because some of the characters have cool super powers that they use to find their parents. The parents have been missing for fifteen years. They are helped by using a map they found which directs them to travel over an ocean to a city called Estero. There are made up places in the city that are interesting to learn about. I like the description of the places and what happens there. The children have to look in these places to try to find their parents. At the end of the story they find an Elena, the mother of two of the children. They give her the map and try to figure out how to get the other parents.
This is a fantasy book and I’d recommend it to kids who like cool superpower stories....more

It’s a mystery but the thrills and chills are absent. Still, a very good mystery with some twists and turns I didn’t see coming!
An Insignificant Case is a fast and fun read! However, pacing slowed in the middle and my interest waned a bit. Also, I wish the characters had been developed to a greater dimension. Charlie is a very endearing character and I hope this will be the premier of a new series! Phillip Margolin is known for his intense courtroom drama novels; this is a nice but lighter addition to his repertoire!
