I just loved this bookThe best way I can describe this book is beautiful! Simply beautiful. Beautiful story, beautiful characters, beautiful writing. I just loved this book so much. Nordika is such an amazing writer, she not only has the ability to keep you completely hooked on a story, but she can do the heaviest of subjects with the most lighthearted humor. It’s simply amazing. This story was about love and hope. The heavy subjects are not taken lightly, but these characters navigate this like champs, and it’s just beautiful. Gage and Alexei were simply precious, I absolutely loved them. And Nate, and Gage’s mom, and all of these amazing characters Nordika has created. Without a doubt, one of my favorite reads of the year!!!
“My point is, as much as it elates me that you’re my sober dope, you’re so much more than that. You're complicated and intriguing. You’re hypocritical and snarky. You’re a judgemental dick with the biggest heart and the most intense eye contact. You’re weird, I’m weird, and we’re weirder together. You’re my soulmate, and saying I love you doesn’t feel like enough. But I do, Alexei. I just really love ya. I love you.” ...more

Oh man, Jewel E. Ann is so talented and so versatile. Every time you pick up one of her books you have no idea what you’re getting into or what to expect because honestly, all of her books are so different. But her writing is so superb and she always delivers when it comes to feels an emotions, always.
One thing is for sure in this book. You have no idea the direction the characters are taking, and nothing is what it seems. Scottie is living a simple life in Texas when suddenly she receives the visit of her ex (12 years later) Pierce. While what you see is what you get with Scottie, Pierce is an interesting yet complicated character and you really don’t know what to expect. At the same time, Scottie meets Koen, who turns her world upside down. Koen is another great character, beautiful, strong, understanding and perfect for Scottie. Their stories are tangled and interconnected, and you get to see most of the story through both Scottie and Pierce’s eyes. It’s absolutely fantastic and it kept me hooked from start to finish. It’s just hard to explain, and honestly, you should go in blind. I guarantee you, you will love the story and all of these characters. They’re all vibrant and great. Another Jewel E. Ann book I absolutely loved! I can’t wait for the next!

Seriously, this book was all the feels and then some. I seriously love this entire series, it is about second chances and I’m a huge fan of second chance stories. Jeannine is such a great writer and she can do emotions like no other. Her heroes are also such great guys and her heroines strong and interesting. Ever since I read Melissa’s story Love...It's Complicated , I was super intrigued by Tara and her backstory. Tara, she was so awesome, sassy and unapologetically herself. And Rob was just so swoony. I’m in love with those Bronson guys (need a Cade story stat…). Hand down, one of my favorite books this year. This entire series is about second chances, at life, at love, and it’s definitely my jam. And she doeYou can never go wrong with a Sarina Bowen book, never. She’s one of my absolute favorites for a reason, her books are just great, period. And she does MM like no other, so I’m here front and center for this. This book has everything, it’s incredibly sweet, has some heartbreaking storylines, it’s funny and also really hot. If you are familiar with the Brooklyn Bruisers books by Sarina, Hudson and Gavin are briefly mentioned in Love Lessons, Hudson is the new guy trying to make an impact with his new team and Gavin is the team’s new trainer. It’s sort of a forbidden love story since they have to keep their relationship a secret since they work together. I loved both characters, Hudson is such a great guy and so genuine and Gavin is just the perfect man. I don’t like to go into details or spoil it for you. I loved their relationship so much, their chemistry is off the charts, and I especially loved all the issues the book tackled. I love that Sarina is not afraid of addressing issues that professional athletes that are LGBTQ may face. This book has so much heart, it’s just beautiful. Like I said before, Sarina does MM like no other.
Let’s also talk about the audiobook for a second, because it’s perfection! Teddy Hamilton and JF Harding are amazing as Hudson and Gavin, A-MA-ZING! You can never go wrong with Teddy, and JF was such a great complement. You’re in for a treat with this one!

This is a short story, only 9 Chapters so I felt like it didn’t even touched the surface of what is really going on with these characters and their story. I haven’t read Purity so I don’t have much of a background but I was able to follow fine. Bottom line, I was hooked and left wanting more. These two main characters were definitely interesting and a lot dysfunctional. I will be interesting to see how the author manages to save this marriage that seems to be irreparable. I definitely have some high expectations for the sequel, Mark needs to do some serious work and groveling, Whitney needs to stand her ground, not fall victim to the Body Betrayal Syndrome, and she should get some action as well. This book, PieJewel E Ann writes my kind of stories, there’s no ifs or buts, she’s one of my favorite storytellers. And she always brings it, always. This book, Pieces of a Life is no exception. This book was so different and so unpredictable, not to mention, there’s lots of angst and romance. While reading, especially in the first part, I wondered what was that connected the book to the Life books, and then when it finally clicked, I was left speechless.
I’m a sucker for second chance love stories, and this is definitely set up to be a great one. I loved Colten and Josie, both their story in the past and their story in the present kept me hooked the entire time. I love that Jewel writes different stories, period. They are never your typical stories, and you never know which way they will go. I also love that she writes heroines that can stand on their own, and super swoony heroes. Yes, I will not go into details about the story, trust me, you don’t need to know anything more than the blurb, if that. No part of me wants to share this moment with anyone in any capacity. More than anything, I want to cling to his star as it burns the brightest—if o No part of me wants to share this moment with anyone in any capacity. More than anything, I want to cling to his star as it burns the brightest—if only to be with him for a little longer. If what Easton said is true, and we live in echoes of defining moments, I want to remain in this one for as long as I possibly can.
Kate Stewart, you are simply a genius with words! And I have zero words to describe what I’m feeling right now after reading this book for the good part of three days. This book pretty much put me through the wringer, broke me and put me back together! It’s was just absolutely amazing.
Something about this woman is driving me to the brink of insanity, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I can’t pinpoint exactly when it happened, but all that matters to me right now is how strong this pull is; though foreign, it feels fucking amazing. If I could bottle or needle it, I would inject myself regularly, even as its danger presents itself, and despite her warning, it’s lethal. I want more. I want her.
Rarely does a sequel affects me as much as the original, but I have to say that this one is as good, if not better than the first. I’m pretty sure I said this when I read Drive, but this is one of those books that you wish you can read for the first time over and over again.
This is of course a second generation story/ sorta sequel to Drive, and reading Drive is NOT optional, there’s no way to read Reverse without first reading Drive, so if you haven’t read Drive, please stop reading this review and pick it up…I’ll wait.
“I can’t fall for you, Easton,” she whispers hoarsely. “I’ll lose everything I’ve worked for… my whole life is in Austin, my future.” “You’re already mine,” I declare, knowing that’s the truth for us both.
Alright, I assume if you’re reading this far, then you read Drive. I will still try to keep my review of Reverse as spoiler free as possible. I’m a very emotional reader, and a very very tough critic, some many things just throw me off from books. For me, Drive was THE BOOK. The year it came out, it was hands down my absolute favorite book, and it remains at the top of my All-Time list. Stella, Reid, and Nate’s story was just such an emotional roller coaster ride and just so so good. Like I said in my review, I would’ve been happy if it had gone the other way, I loved both men that much. Drive just spoke my love language, music, and it shook me to my core.
So I won’t lie, even though I’ve been waiting over 5 years (since Kate made that famous post in the Drive group) for this sequel, I was terrified that I wouldn’t like it, let alone love it. Well, all my prayers were answered because Kate delivered ten fold, this was absolutely perfect.
“Intelligent men don’t let life-changing women pass them by without trying to grasp onto them with both hands. I don’t need endless months to figure out you’re that woman for me. I’m not most men, Natalie. I know exactly what I don’t want, and it’s everything outside of that door. What I do want is standing in front of me, and the idea of letting her walk away from me a second time is fucking eating me alive."
So how you can make a book where Nate’s daughter and Stella and Reid’s son fall in love without lots of angst, tears and heartbreak? Well, you can’t! And no one could tell the story as perfectly as Kate because angst and music are her love language, just like mine. So much happens on this book, good, bad, ugly and everything in between. I will tell you that this is definitely a star-crossed, full on forbidden story, due to the nature of the Reid/Stella/Nate relationship, the angst and the animosity, is all there. It was very Romeo and Juliet-esque (but with an HEA of course).
“What in the hell just happened?” He grips my hip with one hand and strokes my face with the other, his eyes injecting me with the truth. “What’s been happening since the day we met,” he lifts to sit before pressing a long, slow kiss to my lips. “Welcome to this side of the glass, Beauty.”
I loved both Easton and Natalie so much. And I completely understood and identified with them and their story, that feeling of all consuming love. They’re such amazing characters. The love between Easton and Natalie is absolutely everything. OMG, I was just giddy all the way, it’s like I was experiencing everything right along them. When they were happy, I was happy, went everything went south, I was desperate for them to find their way back to each other, and when they finally get back together, it was just EPIC!
Despite it being the worst twist of fate imaginable, Easton is the man who fills my heart and soul, and with me, he comes first.”
And then there Stella and Reid, and Nate and Addie, absolutely perfect. And of course the love between Natalie and her parents and Easton and his parents. And of course all the amazing side characters like Joel, Benji, Holly and Damon.
Whoever I was before this moment exists no more. Inside, I’m aware I’ll never be her again, the woman who doesn’t know what this kind of love feels like. Whatever I presumed my loves expectations to be feel insignificant for the moment, because his declaration makes me feel immortal.
It’s just hard to describe feelings, but I loved every second of this book. I love books that make me feel, and this one made me feel every single emotion imaginable. I have so many highlighted quotes it’s unhealthy! And let’s not forget the playlist. Like Drive, this book has clickable title headings that link to an epic playlist that just takes the experience to a whole new level. Every song was so perfectly curated and so relevant to what the characters were feeling.
The book is really long, and yet I was left wanting more. I can be in this world, with these characters, forever. And the epilogue, OMG, all I will say is at last, full circle. I absolutely recommend this book (and this duet) with all of my heart. It will not disappoint.
“What took you so fucking long?” “I’m sorry,” I lick the salt from my lips. “I got lost.” “But I told you where to find me. I told you I’d be right here where you left me,” he reminds me as I shake in his hold, hope lighting up my being. “It’s not too late, Beauty,” he murmurs, “and with you, it was never going to be.”
My life had been on pause for so long and was now suddenly on fast forward, and yet everything was perfectly right. Exactly the way it was supposed My life had been on pause for so long and was now suddenly on fast forward, and yet everything was perfectly right. Exactly the way it was supposed to be.
Emma Scott is one of those authors that every time I read one of their books, it just leaves a mark in my heart and soul. She writes from the heart and with so much heart, you can't help to just feel it, deep down your soul. Her stories are always so different and her characters are always so relatable, you can feel their joy and pain throughout the story. It's been over a week since I read this beautiful book, and it's just so hard to put into words everything I felt while reading it.
I will say this over and over, Emma Scott writes the most incredible heroes, and now I have Asher to add to that list. Seriously, what a wonderful man. She seriously has the swooniest heroes. I also loved Faith. Faith first shows up in Someday, Someday which is one of my favorite books ever, so I've loved her since then. Both Asher and Faith have been through a lot, and at the point in their lives where they find each other, they're not looking for anything, but it's one of those when you know, you know things. But not everything is easy, they live in different states, have different priorities, and being together is just difficult, but they're trying their best, then life just throws them the biggest curve ball.
As always, this is a spoiler free review since this book is not out. I will say that I'm normally not a fan of certain plot twists, especially late in the game. However, I always trust the process and the purpose of why some things are in books to begin with. And when it comes to Emma Scott, I trust her and her process. I think the author's note in the end, explains it all and as with the book it is beautifully written. Life is just unpredictable and it does throws you the most unpredictable and sometime soul crushing curveballs.
Faith and Asher, their relationship, and all the side characters were just great. In the end, this was just a beautiful story about love, loss and making the best out of life. It was so full of feels. The story will suck you in and hold your heart from beginning to end. I'm just honored every time I get to read an Emma Scott book, I hope we get many more in the future.

Jewel E. Ann is a heck of a writer, she just is. But I tend to like her angsty books way more than her rom-com ones. This one started really strong but I felt like it dragged in some parts. It just lost steam and was a bit repetitive especially when it came to Sophie not fessing up and the whole Jimmy fiasco. I did like how it was wrapped up, although I would've wanted more of them together. The epilogue was hella cute though. Like I said, I tend to love her angsty books more than the rom coms, but she still manages to move me one way or another. From the moment this hit my kindle I just had to begin reading and could not put it down until I was done. Now, I'm not sure how I will wait until March for the conclusion of this story. Wow, just wow, Aly Martinez never ever seizes to amaze me with her stories. She has got to be the best plotter in the business, hands down. The way she crafts the story and keeps feeding you information little by little while surprising you up until the end is just remarkable. Not much I can say about the book, this is part 2 of a 3 part series and you should absolutely go in blind. This book will BLOW YOUR MIND! I will say this, the book builds on the events of book 1 and answers so many questions that were left unanswered in Book 1. As soon as this one hit my kindle, I had to stop “We end up together. I don’t know how or when, but it’s the only thing I’m truly certain about.”
As soon as this one hit my kindle, I had to stop everything and read it, especially after the cliffhanger of Book 2! I can't stress enough how much of a great writer Aly Martinez is, her stories just blow you away. In this 3rd and Final Book of the trilogy (and you MUST read Books 1 & 2 first!) you will get all your questions answered, every single one of them! And Bowen and Remi will finally get their HEA, as they should since they've both been through the wringer. The road to the HEA is of course full of bumps and bruises, in true Aly fashion, but when they get there, everything is just so rewarding. And OMG that epilogue was perfection.
“It’s why I still carry it. It’s also why I believe in fate and how I know what we share will never disappear. In one way or another, in and out of your control, you keep running away, but I don’t even have to chase you for the world to bring you back to me. Over and over, we find each other. It’s what we do, baby.”
Bowen and Remi are both such amazing characters, the character building is so on point. I loved their chemistry and they had the best conversations. This book has a different feel and pacing than the first two since there is no tension building and no cliffhangers, however, Aly does have some surprises down her sleeve when you think you already know everything. This trilogy is hands down in my favorite reads this year. I just can't wait to see what this author comes up with next cause I know it will be fantastic!!! I absolutely recommend!!!!

This is Sarina Bowen's latest book in the Brooklyn saga, and once again crosses over between the Bruisers and the Bombshells. I absolutely love that the lady hockey players, who are pretty amazing I might add, are getting stories as well. I love the whole dynamic between them, and it's great to also revisit past Brookly Bruisers couples. Sarina just never disappoints, she just always brings the right amount of drama, romance and spice and you can't help but just love her stories.
I completely loved this story, it was so much more than an oops we drunk-married in Vegas and now we fall in love book. I loved both main characters so much. I loved Charli's energy and ball-busting attitude from the get go. Neil has got to be one of the sweetest, swooniest heroes Sarina has written. He was so likeable and endearing, you can't read this book and not fall in love with him. And Charli, I loved her so much, her evolution and growth is just great in this book. I loved their relationship, the way they cared about each other and how everything went down. I love that in her stories, Sarina always tackles some heavy themes in the most tactful way. In this case, both main characters had family drama, and some of it was pretty ugly. I love how Neil and Charli tackled everything and came on top.
Let's talk about the audiobook. Both Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin are simply amazing. Let's be honest, I can hear Jason Clarke narrate anything, all day, everyday, he's just that amazing. First, this is Book 1 of a series and it ends on a cliffhanger, just thought I put it out there in case it's not clear. I personally can't wait to get my hands in Book 2. To me, this felt more of an NA/Coming of Age story than a contemporary romance. Reese is 18 and just finished High School, she recently moved with her mother and once she moves she finds out that her mom has to go away for training, which leaves her alone but sharing a house with her mom's landlord, the one and only Fisher Mann. I loved Fisher, he was just great. Reese grew up very naïve and in some ways "indoctrinated" so to me, it was refreshing to see her growth and transformation. The book gave me some serious feels, thus the rating. Overall, this is a typical Jewel E Ann book, not only is it beautifully written but also pulls you in and keeps you guessing the entire time.
