This book focuses on Sir Bryce Waryn, an English lord wanting to reclaim his family home that was taken from him by the Scottish, and Lady Catrina Kerr, a member of the Scottish clan that took the manor. It's well written and a nice expansion on the universe that Mecca is creating, the book can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series.

This is the third book in the Order of the Broken Blade quartet. The tension was ramped up in this book, and I can't wait for the final book.
Roysa has just become a widow and must escape the brother of her husband who may have been responsible for her becoming a widow. Terric must defend the people under his care and chose between avenging his sister and love. The rumblings of war have gotten louder and now action must be taken against King John.
I loved both the mc's and the background story. I loved that we got to meet Terrics sister Cait and i I'm looking forward to her next meeting with Conrad, the last member of the order.

Hannah is the middle sibling in this time traveling trilogy, she and her sisters jump into mystical falls and find themselves transported back in time to medieval Scotland and England. Tristan is the lord of Saxford Castle and does not expect to find a women mysteriously appear on a nearby beach. They battle through trying to find Hannahs' sisters and the reactions of people around them to discover that maybe they were meant to find each other.
I like that Hannah picked up on all of the differences between our time and the medieval period, including the rights and treatment of women. I also love the ending, it makes me impatient for the final book!

This is one of my new favourites in the series!
This is book 4 of the borders series, it can be read as a standalone or as part of the series.
It focuses on the English Clara who has been disguising herself as Alfred and Alex a member of Clan Kerr, who has a deep loathing for the English since his English mother abandoned him and his siblings at a young age.
The storyline ties up lots of different threads and I loved that there was so many strong women, who spoke about the restrictions their sex was put under during this period. All of the other main characters from the series appeared, its lovely to see how their lives have progressed and a nice reminder of things I had forgotten.
I find the cross dressing arc really interesting and Mecca manages to keep it fresh. It really shows you the limitations women put up with.
