I was waiting for Jaypaw to dream up a Tribe solution at the end rather than the Clan solution that emerged. Then it turned out that the whole thing had occurred just because the three (two of whom don't even know about the prophecy yet) had to go to the mountains and be damned to the Tribe! The Erins do keep reiterating the obvious at times. Can be annoying.
A story thread continues that compares faith to lack of faith (and, in one instance, blind faith on the part of Firestar) that lasts the rest of this series. My main complaint at this point is that the books end in a way that doesn't properly seem 'finished', especially the inevitable 6th installment.
