They're constantly trying to find ways to hold each other up. Their love knows no bounds and they accept the darkness that lives in the other. They have learned to watch for the signs and bolster each other so they don't fall. But Blackie can't fight his demons and Lacey can't fight what she can't see. When the lives of all Satan's Knights comes under pressure, can Blackie keep his ish together?
My 16 year old daughter asked me how I could possibly enjoy a story that I've read before. When I explained that although I've read it before, it's being told from a different perspective, she gave me 'the look'. The 'mom, you're nuts' look. Because some people can't understand how full a story becomes when told from multiple points of view. It's like getting to see every side of it, with a unique twist you can only get from seeing it through the eyes of different people. So yes, I pretty much already know what's going to happen, but getting to see each situation through the eyes of Blackie and Lacey made the experience that much more real.
It sure didn't hurt that this story was written by Janine Infante Bosco. There ain't ever gonna be a time I'll stop reading from this woman. She writes characters who are raw and gritty and real and her stories are full of so much heart. As the reader, you get to experience every nail biting moment and the heartache of the characters and the situations they find themselves in, but you also get to watch them redeem themselves, claw their way out of utter despair, and triumph over their obstacles. I can't get enough of these people!
This book may end on a cliffy, but I'm reassured that part two will be following quickly. I have to know how Blackie and Lacey survive their latest ordeal and I need to bathe a bit more in their unorthodox lives. Oh yeah, and swim in their unconditional love.

I’ve really been enjoying the heck out of this series by Jayne Frost. One of the things I appreciate the most about it is that no two stories are alike. Though they’re all frenetic and dramatic and involve heart-wrenching angst, the journey each character takes to get to their version of happy is truly unique. It’s incredible that each person has a story that was barely hinted at yet when it’s written, it’s not only unexpected but it’s beauty despite the pain. Each story is strangely realistic and we may not know anyone who is like these characters, but their experiences can speak to many of us. And Chase’s story was no different.
Chase is an addict. He’s been clean for more than 10 years and is now helping Logan’s sister conquer her own addiction. But as any addict knows, there’s no cure to this disease. It’s a lifelong battle against unseen demons and no one seems to know this better than Chase. He meets Taryn and he can’t treat her the way that he’s treated women in the past. She’s different. He can’t let go. He recognizes the storm headed his way and instead of sidestepping, he steps right into its path.
Pain. So much freaking pain. But anyone who has struggled with addiction or has been touched by addiction knows that pain is part in parcel with this fight. So I grinned and bared it because I trusted this author to see me through to the other side. And the beauty that shone from Chase was so incredibly worth it!
“Sweet Taryn. Appropriate since she was every song. And every lyric. Everything I’d ever wanted.”
This story was painfully stunning. It was about grief, broken relationships, and addiction. It was about family and friendships. It was about unbreakable ties. It was about the music. Always about the music.

After ten years, Brylee Whitmore has returned to our home town, giving me my shot at revenge. I thought it would be simple, but she’s changed. I was supposed to make her pay for what she’s done, so why do I feel like I have to fix her instead?
Coming home was a mistake. If my dad wasn’t sick, I would have stayed away. Chase Foster plans to exact his revenge, and I deserve it. I’m supposed to pay for my sins, but now he wants to fix me instead. Too bad there’s nothing left to fix.
One Tragedy. Two broken people. Can he forgive her? Can she forgive herself?
Broken Souls is truly about two broken souls, tied together by tragedy. One is seeking redemption, comfort and peace while the other is seeking revenge. This was a heartbreaking tale of not only broken souls, but souls that were lost. Without revealing too much of the plot because the author created an interesting twist, there are second chances and lost chances. There’s forgiveness and regret. There’s grief, addiction and love. If tales of woe and angst are your thing, you’ll definitely get a kick out of this one.

I didn't expect half of what I got and I think that was what I loved most about it.
What else I loved: 📰 How naked and exposed the author allowed her characters to be. Both Avery and Ethan were devastatingly broken and at times neither one seemed able to subsist, mush less support the other. 📰 How the author tackled cult culture, not so much the day-to-day of that life, but it's aftermath. What was captured didn't appear to be contrived and had an honest if somewhat traumatizing feel to it. 📰 The way the author wove the authentic feel of journalism and I'm guessing that's from her own experience.
What didn't work for me: 📰 I was okay with the entire story being told from Avery's POV, although I felt that Ethan's perspective would have given these characters and their story more depth and more connection. However, I felt overwhelmed by the heavy usage of similes, metaphors and idioms. It was as if I couldn't go a whole passage without being bombarded. It happened during Avery's internal monologues, her narration, her conversations, and even her intimate moments with Ethan. So much so that it took away from the impact each element should have had.
At the end of the day, did I enjoy this story? Heck yeah. Avery and Ethan both found their way into my heart and I would definitely read from this author again.

Ryker and Ella knew each other since they were 15, going to the same high school. They were crushing pretty hard but didn't do anything about it. Several years later they reconnect, but before they could "complete their transaction", her father arrests Ryker and he's sent to prison. Fast forward to the present and Ella comes begging for Ryker's help to rescue her dad from a rival Club. They once again reconnect and sexy times commenced almost immediately. There was a lot of push and pull, way too many "I love you/I hate you" moments, and this occurred almost from the start. The rest of the book is about this couple trying to find a way to be together, Ryker battling against addiction and his evil father (the Prez), and the two of them coming to terms with what their future may hold. Can the good girl and the bad boy find their HEA?

It doesn't happen often. It was written well and it was honest and for most of the story I was hovering close to a 5. Not quite there but I was really enjoying myself. I love broken heros and Caelen was devastating. The horrors of his past still haunted him and it seemed the only things he wanted in life were drugs and alcohol. That is utnil Sutton showed up in his life. From their first encounter I was rooting for them. However, towards the end I got blindsided, which dropped this story to a 1-star rating. Seriously, who the heck was Memphis??? And why was there no mention of him in the blurb???
Speaking of the blurb:
Why you ask???
Because it doesn't make any freaking sense once you read the book. It's misleading. WTF?! I hate being made a fool of and I feel not only fooled, but also duped and bamboozled!! I get what the author was doing. I do. Not every broken couple is destined for a HEA and that's what made this realistic. But I get enough reality in my REAL LIFE!! I read fictional books about fictional characters to escape my NON-FICTIONAL life. I appreciate some realism in the work, but this just hurt me. I think there should have been more of a lead-in or warmup that could better prepare people for what's in store.
So, overall, a great book. Be prepared to have your heart torn out. Micalea Smeltzer is a great puppeteer!

Bodhi (btw, I LOVE that name) was the son of two Hollywood icons. Left pretty much to his own devices, he fell into a boy band, known as Virtuous Parodox, and they almost instantly became famous in their own right. But the pressures of fame can be too much. Sometimes fame comes with fuckery and Bodhi became an addict. Thankfully his father and his manager staged an intervention, launching him onto the road to recovery. Along this path he met Kimberly, who was beautiful, pure, compassionate and had a heart of gold. Together they battled his demons and found love in the process.
This story was pretty raw. There were a few intense scenes that gave a clear picture of just how far Bodhi's addiction had reached. How hard the battle was that Bodhi was waging against his addiction, such as his cravings, paranoia, hallucinations, the itching, the pain, etc. The author did an amazing job of creating the beautiful evolution of Bodhi and Kim's relationship amidst the ugly chaos that initially brought them together.
The next book in the series is Bang and I'm hoping to see more of this couple within its pages.

It was full of feels, especially the warm and fuzzy kind. It dealt with abuse, addiction, family, friends, expectations, despair, hope, dreams, and letting love in to light up your life. Melissa Foster wrote one awesomely hot gem of a book and I recommend that every romance lover out there take the time to read it!
"The heart doesn't care about bloodlines or birth parents. It just seems to know how to love in the same way our lungs know how to breathe."
There are too many adjectives to describe Truman. Humble, respectful, protective, talented and he had an immense capacity to love. Ergo, he more than deserved the moniker of Tru Blue. Paired with Gemma, a spunky and pushy and gorgeous gift of a woman with a heart of gold, their story had intense chemistry and fierce love. Gosh, it was love by the buckets full!
"This man. This incredible man should be too damaged to know how to love. Too broken to want to embrace life. And yet here he stood, her pillar of strength, revealing all his weaknesses and fears, baring his tormented soul."
To be honest, I'm still pretty much fangirling over Truman. He was the epitome of a man and I found so much pleasure with him as a character. He was such an awe-inspiring person. It's not often that I fall in love with the hero so quickly, but I loved Truman from the start and it was very hard to let him, and the beautiful family he created, go. Adieu Tru Blue!!

Part One was loco. There were so many key players involved and quite frankly I was lost as to who to root for. Ren? Brie? Duvan? Oscar? Vee? As sweet and innocent as Brie was supposed to be portrayed, I wasn't convinced. It just didn't ring true for me. Add to that the fact that EVERY man seemed to want her and only her, my feelings for her didn't warm up. And Gabe was suddenly sane??? How did Webster get me to feel bad for him???
Part Two was insane. I fell hard for Duvan. Can't lie. And I absolutely abhorred Esteban. He was filth personified and there were so many examples of his evil. But Brie, once again, came off as a bloody fool. Her being only 18 wasn't a good enough excuse for her stupidity. She made dumb decisions and suffered horrific consequences for them. Thankfully Duvan was there to pick up the pieces. Who expected him to be so freaking amazing???
Part Three was devastating. It ends on a cliffy and the events that lead up to it are horrifying. I don't even want to say any more about it.
So why does this book deserve 5 stars??? Because when you're looking for something dark and suspenseful, you should look no further than K. Webster. She ALWAYS delivers!!

TroubFor something so short, this story was incredibly deep. Isabella Mackenzie is an addict. She's been clean for two years and has made her amends. Trouble is that she doubts her own worthiness when it comes to happily ever after, which is just what Liam is offering her. He sees her... the good, the bad and the ugly. And loves her anyway. It's up to her to love herself enough to take a leap of faith with him.
TBH, I haven't read any other book in this series. And I'm glad I didn't. Because... based on the hints Isabella gives regarding the pain she caused those who loved her when she was under the influence, I got the chance to really get to know her character without any pre-judgments. I got sympathize with her weakness and doubts and fears and also celebrate her strength, determination and perseverance. I'm now very interested in starting from the beginning of this series after seeing and experiencing it's beautiful ending!

UThe title of this book is pretty self-explanatory. Some people, like myself, find it very hard to get into a story that involves cheating.
Usually I try my best to avoid these types of stories because not only are they painful, but I can never figure out how cheating can result in a HEA. However, this book was about so much more than a torrid affair. As a matter of fact, I found myself rooting for the characters that were involved in said affair.
I know. I even surprised myself.
This story is essentially about Brie, Del, Nate and Julian. I couldn't help but fall for Brie and Nate. Their love story was sweet and heartwarming and bitter and heart-wrenching. Their road to happily ever after was paved with good intentions. For the most part. My heart ran the gamut of emotions: from happy, to sad, to angry, to confused, to furious, to devastated, to hopeful, and finally to elated.
"I'm going to kiss you the way you deserve to be kissed. You'll be able to feel it. You're not spineless, nor are you broken. You're the strongest woman I know." - Nate to Brie
As previously stated, this story is about much more than an affair. It's about family, friendship, manipulation, betrayal, abuse, addiction, revelation, hope and love. I wanted more from the ending. More of a time jump for the winning couple. But it definitely had a decent HFN.
I recommend this book to those who don't mind putting their hearts through the wringer and those who believe in second chances.

Liam himself stated, many times, that he was far from perfect. I have to agree. However, he has grown and improved tremendously throughout the series. Shay Savage introduced us to an angry, damaged, and tortured "boy" and made him into a man!
I enjoyed every facet of Liam's character. Living in his mind, like I've said before, was a trip. The scenes where he was fighting himself and the pull of destruction were absolutely poignant and overwhelming. There were quite a few times that he pissed me off through this trilogy, but his redeeming qualities far outweighed these negatives. He was loyal, fierce, protective, determined, intelligent, etc.
Getting to the crux of his trauma was heart breaking. Understanding even why he became a vegetarian devastated me. I can't even imagine the horror of what he faced. Watching Liam "man up" was inspiring.
I loved the many names he had for Tria's bag. I personally loved how he always wanted to punch someone in the face (I can totally relate). I loved how he was with Tria; how he loved her. I loved his scenes with his family.
But best of all... I especially loved who he was with and for Katie.
Being inside Liam's mind is like a psychedelic trip. I've never dropped acid mind you, but his tangents seem to fit what I believe would beHoly. Crap!
Being inside Liam's mind is like a psychedelic trip. I've never dropped acid mind you, but his tangents seem to fit what I believe would be the delusions I would have if I were under its influence.
I still don't know his back story in its entirety, but I'm guessing that's what book 3 is for. What I have learned so far sounds traumatic. The offhand diagnosis of PTSD seems pretty accurate for his character. I'd like to see him get some help.
Actually, I think Liam needs a lot of help lol. He refuses to accept his wrong, to accept his past, to accept his own thoughts (and sometimes those of others), or to accept his feelings (and sometimes those of others). He lives in absolute denial. He has an uncanny ability to lock shit away without dealing with it or resolving anything.
The author's writing was amazing. I was completely absorbed with Liam's thoughts (and actions), from start to finish. His future, with or without Tria, doesn't seem too bright. Or to even be guaranteed :(

I want to thank you for creating this book. I want to thank you for gifting me an early copy of this book because release day wasn't soon enough for me (I've got a copy on pre-order to add to my Frazierland collection). You have the incredible knack of creating lovable bastards and bishes. Thank you for breathing life back into my most beloved character, Preppy. I love all of the men, but with Preppy... my heart has been broken through too many books. When Doe/Ray read his letter and obituary aloud, it lightened the pain (because of the laughs), but this book (and the one to come) removed it. THANK YOU!!
There was everything to love about this book. Preppy. Andrea (Dre). Pancakes. Preppy's sarcasm. His mind. His quirks. His sweetness. His scariness. His pain and his triumphs. This book was full of many small, wonderful moments that amounted to a beautiful story.
There are times when I've dived into a much loved series where I was disappointed. NOT HERE! I really wasn't sure what to expect. Was it going to be Preppy's POV of what already took place? Or would it be something new, fresh and unique? Obviously I went into this blind. I didn't want to spoil my experience with what was being said on social media. The author gave me what I was looking for and I'm extremely grateful. I got Preppy aka BADA** MOFO and I couldn't be happier!
Told through flashbacks and in real time, the reader sees the little and big picture. We fall in love with Dre, a junkie trying to clean up her act, but Preppy definitely stole the show. His character in this book stayed true to who we all know and love. #Bowtie til I die for real.
There's the requisite killing and angst and intensely hot sex. Who knew how incredibly hot (sexually) Preppy was??? Well, I know now. So freaking hot!!
But I digress.
This book was about so much more than that. It was about life and death, desperation, hopelessness, grief, guilt, finding redemption, and falling unexpectedly in love. We get a real look into what makes Preppy tick. Although we got some of his background through King, the picture is much clearer when received through Preppy.
Honestly, this book made me even more of a Preppy fan girl. Not sure how that's even possible because I was already a tad bit obsessive. Anyone who knows me can tell you that he's always been my fave. Yes, I do love them all, but he has determinedly found a way to stand out. It's the personality that this character embodies. The sarcasm and the quick wit mixed with the charming and the psycho. The same reason I love Sterling Archer and the Ryan Reynold's Deadpool portrayal. Freaking bloody and fantastic! I love my men dark and twisted with a sense of humour and a dash of the debonair.
This book barely satisfied me because I need more!! Dammit it's like feeding an obese man some salad. GIMME MEAT!! Preppy Part II cannot come fast enough for me. Nuff said!
****************************************************** EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEkkk!! I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED RIGHT NOW!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! BRING ME MY PREPPY!! #BowtieTilIDie

I'm extremely intrigued by Liam's story. What he's been through, the choices he made and continues to make, how long he expects to live the life he does, etc.
As of right now, I'm uncertain as to what kind of future Liam and Tria have. Although she's in college, they both don't seem to have an idea of their own individual futures, much less one they would share.
Shay Savage is famous for throwing her readers for a loop and I'm a bit apprehensive to see what this series has in store for these characters.

The pacing was great. There were no dull moments and the story flowed smoothly. Despite the book being short, it was in no way rushed. It simply didn't read like a short book. I didn't feel like I was missing anything because every necessary detail was given without making the narrative choppy.
I really liked how Lucas's past was explained through flashbacks in his POV and how the author let his perspective catch up to the present timeline. It definitely showed this character's growth and depth.
Lucas seemed to have a hero complex but I liked it and felt that it worked here. I loved the way his relationship with Ava developed. They were two broken pieces that made one soul and their tragedy that occurred in their lives made their story beautiful.
There isn't much action, but this story does tackle issues such as loss, grief, addiction, healing, hope, friendship and love with a little crime mixed in to give it some flavour.
I was disappointed with the ending. I wanted more of a true feel for their future than what I found in the epilogue.

Yup. That groupie (or puck bunny in this case) love.
Honestly, the book was full of drama, which at least helped to keep things interesting.
I couldn't connect with either of the main characters. Quinn was supposed to be depicted as a good girl, a daddy-pleaser, but to me, she came off as weak, judgmental and condescending. Cash was what the stereotypical star athlete would be. Narcissistic, arrogant, inconsiderate, alpha, and promiscuous.
The two of them together made no sense. How they even hooked up is still a mystery to me. How does one give oneself to a guy who constantly flaunts his conquests, much less fall in love with hiim??? I was baffled while reading this entire story.
The book's ending was left unfinished in anticipation of the second book of the series, Perfect Love, which is slated to come out in 2017. I'll be reading that because I just have to know how the author is going to redeem her characters.

This story packed so much of an emotional punch that I'm still feeling its effect. My mind is still trying to wrap its way around what the heck just happened. It had my heart racing and I was feeling those palpitations.
This author's skill with the written word is simply incredible. Each scene was phrased so eloquently, so passionately, that I couldn't help but FEEL each and every emotion it was trying to evoke from me.
Aylee and Maddox (Max). Why two such young people had to suffer so much is beyond me. What bothered me was the fact that this is what many children are suffering through in reality and it's friggin horrific. Makes me understand vigilante justice, even if I don't sanction it.
I am not going to spell out the plot because I really, really, really want people to read this book. I will say that I was a bit disappointed by the unfinished ending until I saw that these two beautiful characters will be getting a novella. Can't wait for that to be released!

Somehow, someway, I liked this book. I'm still not sure why. It could be because I tend to like the work that LP Lovell produces. Maybe it's because Blake's character embraced life in a way I never did or ever will, and in a way that though I don't condone it, I can appreciate. It could be because... I really don't know.
What I do know is that if it were up to Blake's character alone I wouldn't have enjoyed this book. I didn't like her. She fought against being stereotyped as a rich, entitled, spoiled brat but that's exactly who she was. She didn't become an addict to escape the pain or memories of a traumatic event. The worst abuse she suffered was neglect, which isn't nice, but c'mon she's rich! She didn't lack food, clothing, shelter, money, drugs... Poor little rich girl. My parents don't love me. Boo-freaking-hoo b*tch. She had two awesome BFFs who thought the world of her but were they enough? No. Did she truly appreciate them? No. She tormented them by abusing herself and making them watch and worry. She's just wonderful.
Rhett was the only reason I liked this book. I would give him 5 stars if I could. He put up with a lot of Blake's crap and seemed to have the patience of a saint. I kept waiting for him to snap, yell, and shake the sh*t out of her lol. Despite what he was going through and what he had to deal with (view spoiler)[such as getting his brother extradited to the States and then out of prison (hide spoiler)] he was there for her time and time again. Although it would have cut the story short, I was pretty much begging him to leave her dumb ass alone.
Honestly, I didn't like Blake until the very end when she said "Life is too short to settle for anything less than explosive. Many things in life are mediocre, but love shouldn't be one of them, and the way Rhett loved me... he could set the world on fire."
That's it. I loved Rhett and tolerated Blake for his sake. Besides, his sex scenes were freaking hot!! BONUS!!
