Told as a little boy asks her about her daddies' role for different things from waking her up, tucking her in, soothing booboos, and catching frogs. The illustration style is vibrant (though I could have done without the litter scooper that looked like a kitchen spatula, lol). A good addition to storybook collection.

I can't speak to it's accuracy, but you leave this book feeling as if you've gained a glimpse into the life of DC campaign insiders. DC life and campaign life were fascinating, but the true strength of this one were the bits on friendship, marriages, and people. Several "oh, how true!" moments to be had. ...more

The plot could have been great, but there was so much repetition of everyone's back story that I got irritated. More of that could have been spent developing the plot. Then in the end just quick bit on them getting married. That could have been at least a developed chapter - not the short afterthought it was. Hope the next one gets back on track. I'll still give it a try b/c it's got the potential if the author spends the time on it. ...more

I've always found his story fascinating, but what I didn't realize was that he spent a number of years tracking down the Gestapo that took Anne Frank away. His goal was to do so in order to obtain a confession that it occurred in order to prove that Anne Frank existed to disprove those who claimed that her story was fabricated. It's a fascinating story (spoiler: he was successful after years of trying). The art in this book is well done, and fitting with the tone of the story. An important story to read and share. ...more
