Ava is kidnapped by some shady characters and Damon is sent to save her. There hole first interaction with one another was a mess. Damon was just trying to save this chick and get her back to safety but fate had other plans. Ava thought she was just high because she did not understand how men can change into wolves, little did she know that she was about to understand and get a crash course into shifter life real soon.
This book was a very good first book. There is a lot of things that was thrown in this book and at times I could understand why Ava was overwhelmed. It seems as though there's a conspiracy happening and I really hope that in the upcoming books it gets explored.
Who is funding the red wolves in order to kidnapped female wolves?
The chemistry between Ava and Damon was electrifying. They have been doing a dance around one another from the very beginning. I understood the sexual tension and all I wanted them to do was get down and dirty.
The ending was a bit rushed to me. Ava is special when it comes to the world of wolves and Damon things that he is not worthy of her. He is in fact worthy but the way that it is revealed seemed a bit unrealistic to me. It just seems as though Miss Vaughn said, "I'm tired of writing this book. Let's wrap this thing up to publish it." I just wish that his background was explored more where's does just two lines explaining why Damon is worthy....more
I have gone through this entire series and this book did not disappoint. As title states this is the final contact that the Tantalus people will have I have gone through this entire series and this book did not disappoint. As title states this is the final contact that the Tantalus people will have with Earth. This story had so many different perspectives and a lot going on that if you have not read a story from M.A. Abraham before you will be completely lost. When I first started this series I felt that way only because there are lots of people that play a part in the overall scheme of the series.
When this book first opens the Tribunal Elder, Kyllan, is trying to bring home the sirens that are located on Earth. He thinks that this is going to be a two-day pick up and will make his way back home. Little does he know that know, that was not the case. There are many people that are persecuted on Earth and also there are Tantalrins that are located on Earth that was exiled.
The deeper the story goes the more and more we realize that everything that the Tantalrins have dealt with since the beginning of this series all goes to one person. He is the cause of everything that has happened to them as well as the Mars exploration.
There is a lot of fighting, reunions, etc happening within this story. I love the reunions that Kyllan had as well as a more in-depth look into the Great Phoenix.
There are a lot of questions that have not been answered and I'm assuming that we have to come to our own conclusions but for me I want a straightforward answer. I do know this is the end of the series however I do hope that there is a spin-off so we get more inside of the phoenixes and why there are so many populating the planet. That was never answered and I am itching to figure out what is truly happening. There are also many characters that were introduced within the story and I want to know more about them. I want them to have their happily ever after and I want to know how they will survive on Tantalus.
I enjoy the narration of Brian Callanan. I am glad that he continued with the voices that I have come to associate with each character and I am looking forward to him narrating other series. He is a narrator that I will actively search for....more

Let's just jump right into this review. For the past three books we have been anticipating the demise of the Witch Hunter. We all know that he's evil and we all know that he is up to no good however we have not really found out why he is doing what he does. Well we have in this book but before this book we didn't have any idea why he was doing any of the things he was. In this book things start to heat up tremendously.
Terec is someone that we met way back in First Contact. He did not have a major role then but we kind of figured that he would have a book eventually. The only thing is I didn't realize that he was going to play a major part in the demise of the Witch Hunter. But before we get into that let me backtrack just a tad bit.
The Witch Hunter decides to change up his MO just a bit. Up until this point he has been getting rid of people with psychic abilities. We still don't know why he's getting rid of people with psychic abilities but this isn't his first rodeo with committing genocide. We do get an explanation of who or rather what he is but we still don't understand what makes him tick.
Now let us get back to Terec and his romance with Adele. We all knew that him and Adele were mates and we knew that they were going to end up being together. Difference was that it would be a long road thanks to Adele's mother, Cara. That woman has irked me from the very first time I met her back in book one. She gives me this holier-than-thou vibe that I cannot deal with. I do understand that she is a single mother and her job is to protect her children but there is a difference between protecting and stiflingly and she stifles her children verses protecting them.
The romance between Adele and Terec was very sweet. One of the issues that I do have with Adele and it seems like all the other young girls within this is that they put themselves in situations to be harmed or get hurt. I cannot stand when a character is doing dumb stuff and it is blamed on youth tendencies. When I was a certain age I did not do certain things because I knew there would be consequences but yet these young girls don't realize that there are consequences and something bad might occur especially with the animosity between the new settlers and the Tantalrians.
There were a lot of twists and turns with in this book and I am all for that. People who I thought were gone forever are not so gone. The Witch Hunter is actually something that or someone that I never ever expected. The Tribunal has a ton of secrets that nobody knew about. I now know where they we're living when they decided to go away for centuries and it isn't what you think it is. I am looking forward to continuing the series and I cannot wait to see what happens....more

The fact that Lucan decided to have some naughty time with Gabriella while she was sleeping was a bit unsettling. When that scene occurred I felt as though I did not want to continue however I did push forward. Lucan and Gabriella are a good couple. They balance one another which is always a good thing when it comes to main characters.
I have this thing about tortured heroes. I am obsessed and I always fall in love with them however Lucan is not a tortured hero in the sense. I understand that he has been through a lot in his life with having shity family members however instead of being tortured he became self-deprecating. The whole woe is me continuously throughout the book just hurt me to no end. The fact that he not only treated Gabriella like shit he also treated everybody around him like shit. I don't have an issue with that because sometimes a character feels that is the only way that they will be able to cope through life however he did not apologize to anybody about his actions.
He did not even apologize to Gabriella he just told her that he loved her and wanted to be with her forever. There are certain people in books that deserve apologies because of all of the things that they have been through with in their lives. Gabriella to me is the prime example of a person who deserves an apology. She dealt with so much bullshit from Lucan and yet she was deemed unworthy of getting an apology.
I don't understand if it is because he is an alpha male and that in turn means that an apology does not occur with him or if this is what happens with in this series. Not once did he apologize for putting her through the wringer and always blaming her for everything that went wrong with in this life since he met her. As a woman I don't think that I would be okay with somebody blaming me for a friend's death and not apologizing afterwards.
The story was good the action was great and the traitor was not expected. Lara Adrian made you think that the traitor was a warrior because he was out here doing suspect things but that was not the case. Also the leader of the Rogues was not expected either. I enjoy surprises when I read a book because there are times where everything is too obvious and it gets tiring and old.
I don't know if I am going to be 100% invested in this series like I am with the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. BDB has a lot of great characters, that yes are flawed, but understand that they are flawed and does not blame everybody else for their issues. Within that series the hero always seems to overcome his struggles and tries to be better. Lucan did not try to be better. He is going through a major life moment but yet it was never resolved.
I will move on to

We knew who Oz however we only got bits and pieces of who he is and where he came from. what made him into who he is today? When we ended up leaving Oz in Zaureth he was trying to capture the mob boss by taking his sister Maria, the heroine.
In this book Oz explains to Maria why he ended up killing her father. We get to see two dynamics in this book. One is with Maria and her brother. She tries so hard to want a relationship with her father and her brother that she ends up subjecting herself to emotional abuse. Oz on the other hand does not try to get love from anybody and yet everybody around him ends up loving and respecting him.
This book has a lot of drama and conflict between the heroine and the hero versus everyone else. I did like this book however I have to admit that it is not as good as Zaureth. There is something off about him Oz that I did not like and that also goes for Maria. It is a good book within the series but it is not a book that I will see myself listening to repeatedly....more

There are so many instances where I am completely and utterly confused how she has survived to 30. There is no way someone who is so naive could survive in the world. Kerr is just not the best hero at all. I will say that these two belong together because Alice is stupid and follows everything that Kerr says and Kerr is someone who feels as though his shit does not stink.
I will see if this series gets better. However, I am really hoping that these two characters DO NOT play a part in other books like most couples that are the main focus in intro books to series are. They just need to continue doing it like rabbits and stay in the background. ...more

Through outKirall and Autumn are to unlikely individuals that met because both we're in need of something. He needed to release and she needed money. Through out the book it was completely obvious that they were mates and Autumn was special.
This may sound a bit weird but if M.K. Eidem did not write this book I would be giving this a three versus the four and a half stars that I'm going to be giving it. Because you should write a book based on substance and writing style however this author is very very good when it comes to storytelling. Also I do understand that this is the first book in a new series. There have been few first books in a series that would be considered 5 stars.
Getting back to this book. Throughout the book I knew that Autumn was going to be (view spoiler)[ The Last Dragon of the short-lived procession of super dragons (hide spoiler)]. Only same that I did not see coming was the entire playing between how Kirall and his men received release. The method is RAPE!!!! I was completely and utterly turned off by that aspect and it seemed that it was the norm.

This book is about an entertainment journalist named Gia that has to choose between Christoff Diemacht Hartmann (German Rockstar) and Trevor Dunaway (This book is about an entertainment journalist named Gia that has to choose between Christoff Diemacht Hartmann (German Rockstar) and Trevor Dunaway (a billionaire Rockstar). I can say that this book is trash. Gia is a hoe who is more concerned about her career than actually trying to be with somebody. I dont have any qualms about anybody exploring their sexuality but she just seems to take it to a whole nother level.
This story seems to be all over the place in the beginning Gia meets Christoff and as the reader you assume that he is going to be the hero of the story but then her and Christoff get into a situation and then they stop fucking for a couple of weeks "break up." Then she ends up meeting Trevor. That in itself is a mess as well. The only sane reasonable character in this book is Amber.
To be honest I'm not reading anything else from Paris Rose. There is nothing that can make me say that maybe I want to continue explain her writing style but I can't. I understand this is fiction but having unprotected sex with anybody and everybody just seems too much. Understanding Gia is a grown woman however the unprotected sex and just her shallow nature is just too much. She is more concerned about her career, shiny things, networking, getting exclusives, and just being fabulous. She has no substance to her and the way the writer portrayed it seemed as though that is okay. I can't get behind a writer who does not have the character evolved through the entire story she actually devolves and I've never experienced that before....more

This story is not what you would think it is. It is a mixture of old world and modern age. I do not know if I am able to but this story in a particular genre. This story is about a woman named Mel. When we are first introduced to her she is battling for her life and she is saved by someone that she would least expect.
This story at times was really difficult to follow with the multiple different points of view. This is not a book that you can drift with. Once you lose focus it will be hard to figure out what character is which and how all of them are connected with one another. ALL of the characters are all connected so paying attention is key.
I love the world that EM Kaplan is building. It is unlike anything that I have read before and it is refreshing. In a sea of fantasy this book stands out in the nost wonderful of ways. It is not an easy read in the beginning because you are starting to learn who all the characters are and what role and special talents that the seem to have. However when you past the introduction of this world you will get sucked in and never want to leave.
I also loved TJ Richardson as a narrator. I think that she did a fantastic job and I cannot wait to listen to book two in this series. I also hope that this series continues because there are a lot of questions that need to be answered and this book only had me wanting more....more

Zsadist (Lover Awakened), Dagger (Born of Legend), Styxx (Styxx), and Razvan (Dark Slayer) just to name a few. I do not know what it is about a character that has been broken and understands that they are that tends to draw me in.

Vail was no exception. When we first meet our hero in Kissed by a Dark Prince he is nuts. We learn that he and his stupid redhead conniving bitch that should have suffered more rather then dying quickly 'mate' are running around killing people and trying to take over the world.

The heroine, Rosalind, is such an amazing character. She knew that Vail was her mate and that he has a traumatic past however she did not allow that to turn herself into a doormat for him.
There were a couple of scenes that just tore me up inside. I would say when an author allows you to connect with a character so strongly it means that they are amazing....more

I have this thing about sci-fi stories and also sci-fi authors. There is just something that draws me in and takes a hold of me. So when I had this opportunity to receive an arc of this book, I decided why not. Boy didn't not disappoint. I love this story from beginning, middle, and the end. Even the epilogue was something that drew me in and screamed to me, "I want more."
This story starts with Lexi, the heroine, going on a mission in order to find her sister. What she doesn't know is that somebody that it won't be as easy as she thinks it will. Maul, the hero, is someone that plays by the rules. There has been many times when I read a Sci-Fi book when the hero or even the heroine is somebody who is on the path of straight and narrow. The hero in the book is who is on the straight and narrow however he is okay with bending it a bit. Not overly so, but just a bit.
There is a lot of drama, action, and of course a bit of sexy times. This is the first book that I have read from Sara Page and Sean Moriarty. I have to say that I need more from these two. I need to know what is next? What is going on with Lexi sister, Isla? Where is she? Why hasn't she tried to contact her sister?
Also I want to meet Maul's mama. She seems like she would just be the best parent ever and all she want is for her son to just be happy and give her grandbabies. She wants her grandbabies and I want to see her play a part and Lexie and Maul's life. I also love, love Marketh. I want to know more about that little guy. I hope that we learn more about him and also his species. There was a twisted I was not expecting in the book and I have to say that I am enjoying that. Nothing was predictable and there are so many times in a romance or even a science fiction book or any book really where the story tends to be predictable however this has kept my interest the entire time and this was definitely not...more

When I first started listening to this story I found Elle to be a strong and independent woman. Then over the course of the story she became kind of ditzy and also reckless. instead of thinking with her brain she started trying to one-up the vampires. Greg, her not so dead fiance, turned out to be a dick. there were some things that Greg did that completely made me rethink Elle's decision on getting married to Greg.
Elle however is a kick-ass heroine. She did not wait to be rescued. She took the initiative to save herself and also to find out what really is happening when it came to vampires. That is something that I enjoy tremendously about Elle as the main character. Also the other vampire hunters were phenomenal. The vampires had a mixture of sensuality and also a mixture of badassness to them.
Margo Bond Collins wrote a phenomenal book and also I want to know what ends up happening to Nick. She ended this story on a cliffhanger and I need and want more. I also loved the narration....more

There are not as many as dragons as there once was. Ruskya is on a mission trying to find out why dragons are disappearing. Come to find out things are not what they seem.
A war is brewing and no one seems to know why certain dragons and riders are attacking innocents. There are so many questions that need to be answered and we do not get them until the end of the story.
I have to admit that the narrator Esther Hardcastle made this story very hard to get through. Her voice and the tempo is something that drove me nuts. She has a monotone voice and her inflection seems to just be nonexistent. I do not think I can listen to another book from this narrator.

Also the fact that her body is used as a vessel in order to have crazy dragon sex clearly screams rape.

There are a lot of secrets that were revealed and there are also a couple things that no one thought of after it happened. If you have read anything from Christine you know that she will bring up what was glanced over in future books.
Dragomir was not pushy with Emiline like other males. He wanted her to accept him the way he is verses not being forced to. He was very sweet with her but also let her know that if he tells her to run to do that and not fight. I also loved the way he was with Carsima, their daughter. I can already tell that he is going to be a big ole softy when she is born.
