We have some mythology that's similar to the Greek Mythology– the Fates but spinning the threads of hair. Quite eerie and disturbing.

The art on this GN is definitely stunning, I love the designs of the characters, reminding me so much of some fantasy manwha I've read before.
Other than that, I also adore the characters so much, Princess Brie's circle of friends as well as Cam's helper. I also wish we get to see more of Cam's father, I feel really sad about it, I bey he would be such a doting father and at the same time be the couple's biggest supporter alongside the friends.

This might be one of my disappointing reads of 2024 in terms of my most anticipated releases.
Don't get me wrong, the concept or premise really is promising and something that I really want to read. However, the execution is just not it.
The plot progress is almost nonexistent to me? It feels that it just stayed the same, and nothing really happened at all because instead of SHOWING, it stuck to TELLING us. It's quite frustrating because the whole vampire or magic system is something I find really interesting, and as a reader who likes to have an in-depth showing of the fantasy elements, it is indeed a let down.
Other than that, the writing I'm so sorry to say that the writing is lacking as well. It was very slow to my liking. I feel so bad not liking this ...more

I love the ring partners concept, which reminds me so much of the red string theory. I've read a few similar concepts or ideas like this on Ao3 fanfics, but not so much in actual published fiction, that's why I'm pleased to read this.
Another thing is the fact that the ML doesn't seem toxic or red flag, which is the usual trend of BL comics, so that was a plus point for me. I super enjoy how "healthy and wholesome" the interactions were.
I think my issue is the MC, I'm quite not a fan with our MC's long unrequited issue going on. He seemed to be someone who lacked a backbone in this department for me. Other than that, I enjoyed his other traits. He's very likeable, in my opinion.
I believe there's also a brewing love triangle going on, so I'm looking forward to how it will turn out in the next volume.

They really gave me this very soft tsundere and a kind of cinnamon roll characters.
Other than that, I enjoyed that it did not stray away from the animator plot, I really love this plot concept. It's really amazing to see how passionate these people are with their job despite the deadlines of those project and any other conflict that they face.
Furthermore, the romance did well here. I would say this is quite a medium burn pace of the romance and a really genuine affection and admiration for each other, which I did enjoy following through.
I will also not forget that bunos chapter at the end ...more

It took me a while to finish this because this novel was stressing me– NOT IN A BAD WAY BUT IN A GOOD WAY.
Going forward, the writing is brilliant. It did really well in drawing my attention and curiosity from the very start until the end. I was glad that the writing really did fit the story, I think that's one of the main reasons I enjoyed this book very much.
The world building was intricate. I would say the author did well in introducing it in the novel, I quite enjoy it. The world building did really feel medieval to me and perhaps a little bit of the GoT atmosphere. I would definitely love to see more of it in the 2nd book. Although I'm quite waiting for the Dragon and Vampire concept to be shown more, it wasn't that much here, so I hope the 2nd novel will exercise these more.
The plot was very much politial at the beginning. However, it did waned and went towards the character arc route, in my opinion, in like 60%, which I didn't have a problem considering the characters were really likeable. I was really rooting for them all. Still, it was politically intrigued to me in some ways and more building of the storyline.
I would say I was more attached to the characters, especially Rhella and Virgil. Their dynamics and chemistry are undeniable. They're giving me so much of a strong couple and ride or die couple vibes, and strangely, the Percy and Annabeth, I don't know why, honestly. I'm definitely looking forward to the developments of this pairing.
Asriel, on the other hand, I was rooting for him to be honest, but after that scheme of his, I was upset. I was expecting so much of him, but I would say I'm disappointed with his character.
There are quite a few suspicious characters, in my opinion. I would say let's see how it goes in the next instalment.
The parts towards the ending on the hand— I'm not quite sure how I should feel about it, I'm suspicious? It was abrupt to me and felt anticlimactic. That being said, let's see how it would go after that part in the next instalment.
Overall, this was a solid introduction for the series. I'm really rooting for this and excited for the events, especially Rhaella, Virgil, Asriel, and the rest of the characters' development in the next instalment ♡
If you like these, you'll need to check this novel ♡
