I liked Willow and Dev well enough. They're both good people with an intertwined history and it was interesting to read them figure things out. There are a good amount of characters here, but we only got snippets of them.
Plot wise, it's pretty fast paced and action filled. I enjoyed the racing scenes more than I thought I would. The scenes between Willow and Dev felt superficial and more telling than showing when it came to their chemistry.
Overall, it was a quick read and I was invested enough to finish, but I'm not sure I'll be reading the next one in the series.

I did really like these two. They're both so loyal and filled with love. I enjoyed reading their connection, even if it was instalove. I did have a bit of a back and forth with being annoyed with Sig's overprotectiveness and Chloe's cluelessness. Both of them have some growth (Chloe especially) and it was refreshing to see a difference.
Plot wise, it's a meandering pace towards the end. The tension was more of an idea than actually in place and I'm okay with that. The way Tessa got herself out of the main issue was good and the epilogue was exactly what I wanted for these two.
Overall, it was the characters that kept me reading. Oh, and I loved seeing the rookies and am beside myself at the next book.

I liked Murphy. She's messy and unsure and I liked reading her inner monologue while she tried to figure things out. There are several characters here, but it's definitely the Murphy show.
Plot wise, it's okay. It felt really low stakes and was just meandering towards an ending. This is a specific slice of the time, so the epilogue is only a couple of weeks after the final chapter. And while I would have liked just a bit more, it worked.
Overall, it was a quick and cozy read.

I love love loved Emma, Caleb, and Juliet. They’re all so different and yet all looking to belong. I loved Emma’s crunchiness, Caleb’s caring, and Juliet’s sunshine. Of course, there are some wonderful secondary characters who were just as great, especially when everyone was together.
Plot wise, it was good. There are a few moving pieces here: Emma’s home life, Caleb’s dad, and Juliet’s ex-friends. The focus quickly becomes the history of Emma and Caleb and how they’re dealing with the present. I really enjoyed getting the “back then” chapters to read how it all went down, instead of being told they just weren’t friends any longer.
Overall, this was a delightfully real story, filled with characters who were so easy to root for (and want to mash their faces together at the same time.

Sports romances are sort of hit and miss for me, but I was intrigued by the Ted Lasso comparison, so here we are.
I really liked Phoebe and Grace. TheSports romances are sort of hit and miss for me, but I was intrigued by the Ted Lasso comparison, so here we are.
I really liked Phoebe and Grace. They're both loyal and loving and passionate about soccer. I enjoyed reading their differences mesh and smooth out as they worked through the chemistry they had. The team is pretty rad and I loved how supportive everyone was.
Plot wise, it was okay. There is a lot of inner monologue and a good amount of telling, not showing. For me, that is a struggle to get through and I did find myself skimming in parts.
Overall, it was a good story and had characters who were easy to root for.

I loved Nora and Johnny. They're both so smart and considered odd and I really enjoyed these two finding their way. Nora's family deserved to be kicked repeatedly and I'm a bit disappointed that she never stood up to them.
Plot wise, it was good. They're together most of the time and have several open conversations, which is always a favorite of mine. And let's not forget getting to see several of the Trewloves again.
Overall, I have really enjoyed this series and I can't wait to read what's next.

When I requested this one, I noticed that it was part of a series, but assumed it was still considered a standalone. Technically, it is, but there are so many characters and history that absolutely need to be known in order for most of this story to make sense.
I liked Holly and Tara well enough, but never really caught their chemistry. The friend group seems great, but again, I didn't know details and felt like I was missing a good chunk.

I liked Tamsin and Christian well enough. They're both loyal and good people who value their friends. I liked the animosity that started their relationship and how it organically morphed into something more. Of course, it was fun seeing the previous characters.
Plot wise, it was okay. There's a lot of inner monologue and several sentences or passages that felt repetitive. The story was a slow meandering without any real tension and that kept me from really being captivated on how it played out.
Overall, I did keep reading because the characters were easy to root for.
