Lady Everleigh Saffira Winter Blair works in the kitchens at her family's palace. One of the neighboring country's people come to visit and a party is held. Most of the people at the party are all massacred by Princess Vasilia Victoria Summer Blair and her men. Before she died, Queen Cordelia tells Evie to find Serilda Swanson. Evie escapes and goes to a gladiator match where she breaks into a magier's house. The magier takes her to Serilda and Evie starts working for them. One of the gladiators pours poison into one of the other gladiator's drink. Evie sees it and is forced to duel the gladiator. Evie wins the duel and goes back to working for the gladiators. Evie finally reveals her identity and starts training to fight Vasilia. Vasilia and Evie fight and Evie wins and becomes queen.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was nice to be able to read a story about gladiators and how people become queen by winning the duel. Hope Evie and Sullivan will get together. Also hope the gladiator trump stays with Evie.

Glad to see Feyre, Rhys, the Inner Circle, and the others again. Happy to be able to learn more about all of them. Liked the added POV's. Wonder if Nesta and Cassian will get together. Also wondering about Elain and Lucien. Hope Mor will tell Azriel soon.
The next book looks like it is going to be great. Looking forward to seeing Nesta and Cassian again....more
