In this story we learn what is happening on the Heimdall as the Hypatia is on its way to it and the wormhole. The reader learns why Heimdall never responded back and then their struggle with BeiTech Industries. There was so many times my jaw dropped opened or I dropped the book because I was in shock or caught off guard. I think this book had more bends and twists and turns in the story.
If you are worried about picking up an almost 700 page book, do not fear. There isn’t writing on very single page. There are graphs and pictures, diagrams, sketches, notes, journal entries and text conversations. The book is suppose to feel like you are reviewing a file of evidence.
If you are worried about a second long book in a series or having to re-read the first long book in the series to follow along, again don’t worry. The authors did a really great job of catching the reader up and also this story doesn’t necessarily stand alone but it doesn’t completely rely on the previous book to make the story work. ...more
I am giving this a low rating because I didn’t like it at all. I think that’s because I had a misunderstanding about what the book was about. My interpretation of the synopsis of this book was a sci-fi dystopian. It kind of starts off like that but then it turns into what it really is. It’s a horror book in a sci-fi setting. I didn’t like this. And the worst part is that up until the last two pages, you as the reader assume there is still hope for the main character. Until you read the what the main character had to say. No hope and no happy ending.
If I would have read the acknowledgements right after I read the synopsis, I wouldn’t have picked up this book. ...more
