I read this in one sitting and could not put this down. I am obsessed with these two. They had crazy chemistry since the beginning. Every interaction they had I was grinning so big. I just love them! I will say that if you have read the Lakes series this one is a lot different than that series, but still has all the same great writing and story-telling that I have come to expect from Sloane.
This story follows Sully and Kendra. Sully is recently retired from the NHL and Kendra is trying to get her big break as a TV producer. She has a dating show she is pitching but after the main guy drops out she tries to get Sully to fill the role. After some sly contract work that does not involve Kendra, Sully is the star of his own reality TV show.
AHH!! Where do I even begin with Sully. He falls fast and hard for Kendra and I love how he immediate turned into a golden retriever for her. He was soo swoony he had me giggling and kicking my feet. Not to mention the panty melting words that would come out of his mouth! PHEW!!! He is such a DADDY and it was delicious. Him and Kendra had insane chemistry. He was so supportive of her and what she wanted and supported her in every way! Loved seeing Sully transition from player to coach. Loved seeing the Rogues women’s hockey team. It makes me so excited for all of their stories.
Thank you to Sloane and team for the eARC.

If you would told me back when I started reading again that one of my favorite tropes would be accidental pregnancy I would of thought you were crazy…but here we are. These 2 were everything! Devney can do no wrong in my eyes.
The journey that Rush and Faye have to endure is so well done and felt so genuine and was so beautiful. It was raw and real yet sweet and heartbreaking…I ate it up every second. It wasn't always pretty but I loved their story. The push and pull, give and take moments made this book and I adored them for every wrong move and they way they made it right. Faye is probably one of my top FMCs ever from Devney. Her determination, personality and strength were so refreshing to read, even though at some points she could be a bit stubborn. I still was rooting for her throughout the whole story. Her character growth was definitely one of my favorites to read. RUSH!! Where do I even begin…He is literally the perfect MMC especially for Faye. He is so incredibly sweet and so patient with Faye as she figures out what she needs. I am a literal puddle for this man.
This story was so full emotion and definitely a top read for me for the series. I enjoyed every second of this even through the roller coaster of emotions. Thank you to Devney Perry and Valentine PR for the eARC. I cannot wait to see what is next.

This book was so frickin’ good and I could not put it down. In the Game is book 3 in her Lakes hockey series and can be read as a standalone.
The story follows Raleigh and Barrett. Barrett is the star right winger of the Lakes hockey team. Raleigh was a hockey player at one point and now a model/puck bunny. Her and Barrett meet one night and that’s when everything changes….
BARRETT!! This man is everything!!! After that night with Raleigh he becomes a man obsessed and had never stopped thinking about her. Everything he did he kept her in his mind…like SWOON! And I want to talk for second the relationship he had with Arthur. As soon as he found out…he stepped up and was there the entire way…I was a puddle. Raleigh…I loved her so much. She was such a strong FMC with everything she did to be a great mom. And her chemistry with Barrett was off the charts…they could not stay away from each other.
I don’t know what exactly Sloane puts in these books but they are seriously addicting, I can never put them down, I throw all my responsibilities out the window to sit and read them…. I loved each of them so far and hope it doesn’t end soon! I never want to be done with this world. Each book has had such an incredible plot, amazing spice and I will never get enough! Thank you Sloane for sending me an ARC & allowing me to review early.
If you ever take any of my hockey recs…please take this one…you will not be disappointed in this series.

This book was a roller coaster…so if you decide to go in, you better buckle up. At the end of the 4th book you find out about Cade and Hailey’s relationship and what is going on there. This book starts 4 months prior to that scene.
Cade is the ultimate playboy, and Hailey is Hunter Thompson’s little sister. When she needs to move in he starts feeling things that he is not used to and he decides he won’t act on it because he thinks that he is not good enough for her, and he never will be. Hailey has always had some feelings for Cade. She sees him under the surface and knows that he has some demons. She is not afraid of them no matter how much he tries to warn her away.
This story is heart wrenching and beautiful. It’s about redemption and overcoming. These two definitely had to work for their HEA, but once they get there? It’s SO sweet. Their relationship was so genuine and I was so happy for them to overcome all the obstacles they faced at the end. I loved Haley so much. Despite her own trauma, she never backed down from Cade and offering herself for whatever he needed. CADE….This man says over and over again that he’s selfish. He knows he isn’t perfect…he admits his faults. And still for her he is so willing to give her everything he can. The lengths that this man goes to…My heart!!!
Thank you Hannah and team for eARC. I really enjoyed reading this one and cannot wait for the next one. If you decide to go into this one, please check trigger warnings as there are discussions of drug/alcohol addiction, rehab, and death of close friend.

This story follows Damon and Adeline. After a one-night stand Adeline becomes pregnant. She is hesitant to tell Damon because he is a NFL star and a well-known playboy. However, after a strange text to Damon he finds out 6 months later. And well as soon as he finds out...he goes into Daddy mode and we all know how these go. LOL
I loved Damon and Adeline together. Damon remained devoted to Adeline as soon as he found that she was pregnant and I ate that up! I loved how strong and feisty Adeline was. Loved seeing her stand up for herself and be confident in doing so. So refreshing. And Damon...my heart after you find out why he is so resilient to fall in love or be in a relationship. But his growth from reformed playboy to devoted father was so fun to read. And his instructions for his and Adeline's night out had me rolling...LOL
I absolutely love this universe that Piper Rayne has created. This was a sweet, fun, easy read that had me giggling and kicking my feet. I cannot wait to read the next in the series. Thank you to Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for eARC.

WHAT THE HECK DID ALISON PUT IN THIS BOOK!?!?! I couldn’t put this book down. Now I will say there is the cheating trope in this one and I was little WHAT THE HECK DID ALISON PUT IN THIS BOOK!?!?! I couldn’t put this book down. Now I will say there is the cheating trope in this one and I was little weary. If cheating trope isn’t done right then it can really ruin the book..but Alison did not disappoint with this.
This story follows Isla and Cillian. They fall in love young but end up going their separate ways when Cillian leaves for the NHL. There is cheating involved and then Isla is finds out she is pregnant but ends up ending their relationship when she tries to tell him. Five years later Cillian is drafted to Seattle where Isla is working. Their reunion was extremely tense. And then when Cillian finds out Isla has been hiding a daughter…he is upset.
From the very first page I was hooked. This novel will not be for everyone, so if emotional and physical cheating is a hard pass for you then be warned it is in this book. If you love to hate the OW then this novel should satisfy that requirement. Cillian is likeable despite what he did and as the story unravels I feel for him at times. He was not innocent but the story is not a black and white betrayal, it has a bit more complexity than that. There is a long path to healing for Isla and Cillian but it makes for great reading.
This was such a nice surprise and literally cannot wait to read the next in the series.

This is my favorite in the series and seriously probably my favorite read in 2023 that is not hockey. I was really anticipating Duke and Lena delivered…he is perfection!!
This story follows Duke and Sylvie. Duke is the oldest sibling in the Sullivan family. He is known as a recluse and runs the family’s blueberry farm. Sylvie is a King and her family are the Sullivan’s biggest rivals. A surprise encounter with them shows that they are not so different and a secret friendship is started. After months of keeping things hidden, Duke and Sylvie finally give into temptation on a hidden island where sparks fly! What they don’t expect is that this one time things turns into a much bigger commitment when two pink lines change everything.
Duke and Sylvie are goals. They were absolutely the best couple to end the series one. Their chemistry and tension between them was off the charts. I could not get enough of them. There is nothing I like better than a grumpy MMC. They are my absolute favorite…but when the MMC is grumpy with everyone but her…AH! ...more

This follows Liam and Chole. Liam is captain of the Chicago Dark Knights hockey team. He’s not looking forward to attending a black-tie ballet event, but since he is a spokesperson for the company hosting the event, he has no choice. He decides to hide in the back and take a nap during the ballet, but he can’t take his eyes off of one of the ballerinas. When another attendee makes Chloe uncomfortable while mingling after the performance he comes to her rescue and sparks fly. The two have so much chemistry their one-night extends over the week until he leaves for away games and she begins winter rehearsals. Everything changes with an unexpected pregnancy.
I absolutely loved watching their relationship progress. I adored Liam, he is definitely so sweet and swoony. I loved the he falls first vibes, even though they were both falling. Everything he did was focused on Chloe and the baby. I loved his alpha protectiveness mixed with his sweetness. It was a perfect mixture.

This one follows Hollis, Harper's sister and Lowell. They have a kind of a meet cute when they meet at the rehearsal for Harper and Collin's wedding. They end up hating each other at first, but you know how you get at wedding's, one minute you hate someone and the next thing you know you are agreeing to a one-night stand. :-)
Anyway this one has the surprise pregnancy trope. It's not my favorite, but I do like this one. They agreed to co-parent since that is the easy route because a relationship was out of the question at the start. Both of them are still coping with issues, from the past, that have severely hurt them. It was decided that there would be no romance, no future, and certainly no kissing. Clearly, things did not go according to plan. It's sweet to witness them build a friendship that eventually turns into a relationship. The tension and chemistry between the two is off the charts. Lowell I swear is one of the sexiest baby daddies I have ever read.

This follows August Whitley and Poppy Williams. August is all about hockey and can't let anything interfere with that future. Poppy works at the local bar and is just a fling for August. She ends up leaving town and abruptly and cuts off all ties with August. He randomly goes to the next town over on a date with another girl and Poppy ends up being their waitress and she is obviously pregnant.
Not gonna lie, it was a struggle for me to get through this book and I love all things hockey. The pregnancy trope is not my favorite and I hated that Poppy just left and was not even going to talk to August. The ending of the book is rather abrupt as well...did not care for this one as much as the first. I will continue to read the series though.

This book has enemies to lovers, fake-dating, guy falls first, & pregnancy. Pregnancy is not my favorite trope but with how the story was written, the trop did not bother me as much as usual.

I love the character Briggs Wilson. He is such a charmer and loved his arc in this book. The first half of this book was amazing. I loved the connection between Briggs and Madison. It's hot and fun, I enjoyed them bonding over a bottle of tequila. Their chemistry and connection really worked wonders for me and I really enjoyed reading about them falling in love.
The second half or so was just meh for me. The surprise pregnancy trope is not my favorite, but also Maddison kind of annoyed me when she wouldn't be honest with Briggs.
I def recommend this book if you love hockey romances, pregnancy tropes, enemies to lovers.
