This easily managed to retain my attention and I enjoyed this a lot.
I absolutely adored Hudson and the dynamic he shared with Grace. For me, Hudson totally overshadows Jaxon in every way. Hudson felt like the man his brother is reaching towards and he's definitely been misunderstood and judged unfairly by those that are close to him.
The finale here was edge of your seat stuff and I'm now excited to see where we go from here, especially in regards to the Grace Jaxon and Hudson situation. I'm not usually a fan of any sort of love triangle but for this particular series it kinda worked and surprisingly didn't bother me that much....more

I read Twilight years ago and I enjoyed it, It even managed to get my teenage daughter into books and she's still a prolific reader to this day and was hoping Crave would give me a similar sort of experience which pleased to say it did.

Absolutely adored this book, I literally couldn't put it down I was that invested. If you haven't been living under a rock you'll have heard of this gripping fantasy romance with dragons. Literally everyone and their dog has heard of this by now I'd think and I actually own the physical copies of the first two books and have for some time. I mean it has dragons so I feel like that speaks for itself. Well, I eventually decided to join the cool kids ready to discover the magic of this book and judge all of the hype for myself and am now an official convert.
This author made the fantasy so easy to digest. I loved how there was no confusing world expansion to get through and how this introduced it all in a way that was simple but also very enjoyable. There's a reason I stay away from high fantasy and it's because I'm basically lazy and very impatient. I want easy satisfaction and this managed to deliver all of that and more.
So for those who have been living under a rock and haven't heard the hype this is basically a fantasy romance about a war college with some kick-ass dragons. I loved the dragons in this Tairn's snarky bad-tempered wit especially was an instant winner with me.
This story focuses on Violet Sorrengail a young girl who is expected to join the scribe quadrant but instead is forced by her mother an illustrious general to become a rider. The odds are against Violet from the very beginning not only is she of small stature she also has chronic daily pain.
The love interest Xaden Riorson is the son of executed insurgents, he along with other offspring from the former rebellion have been conscripted into Basgiath war college in the Rider quadrant. Their only options now are to either graduate or die trying.
This is a gritty fast-paced read with an explosive slow burn true enemies to lovers romance at its centre. The romance portion of this I felt was well done and Violet and Xaden had believable chemistry together.
The ending of this was explosive and action-packed and also truly heart-breaking. moving me to tears. We left things here on a massive twist so I'm incredibly intrigued to see what comes next. I recommend reading this it was a stand-out read for me and I was never once bored

I wanted the entire experience so I decided to reread book one before embarking on this one, which then reminded me once again of just how amazing this series actually is. I think I found myself enjoying the first book even more than I initially did and this second installment then begins where that left off. This continues in the aftermath of the battle at Sirens Bay and Arwen is understandably reeling after all of the many reveals, especially Kade's purposeful ommissions and deception regarding just who Arwen potentially is.
Arwen is going through some massive emotional angst and turmoil, the sense of betrayal she is experiencing is huge, and her emerging strong feelings of Love for Kane are stopped dead in their tracks and then do a complete 360 as in self-preservation as she shuts down. Now sharing a ship alongside all of the survivors and refugees attempting to flee to find safety, Arwen does her best to freeze Kane out while he is still suffering and wallowing in his many regrets.
This one has a faster pace than its predecessor, we are hopping all over the place here and are introduced to many new characters along the way. Kane certainly had his work cut out in earning Arwen's forgiveness. In fact, that's probably my one niggle just how bloody stubborn and unreasonable our girl can be. I couldn't help but feel for Kane's pain as it was obvious to anyone with half a brain just how devoted and in love with Arwen he was.
The final chapters were probably my favourite out of this book. It was just all so bloody intense and the conclusion then left me totally reeling. Also if you're looking for some progression in regards to the physical between Kane and Arwen this one brought the goodies and it was delicious and was definitely worth the wait. This is slow-burn done well.
This is a great series with some amazing characters and excellent world-building. It's well written and such an easy read, I also appreciated the fact that this second book was dual POV rather than just Arwen like its predecessor. I preferred getting that added insight from Kane and it assisted me in appreciating and understanding him. I definitely recommend giving this a go. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Promise Of Peridot.

This book is part of the Fae chronicles and needs to be read as part of the series as it contains interconnected characters that form part of a bigger picture and things just won't make a lot of sense if read as a standalone as there's a lot of backstory involved.
This focuses on Ryder's sister Ciara whom we were introduced to previously and involves the dragons who have also been mentioned. When Blane the Dragon king attempts with his men to abduct the horde king's heirs it is instead Ciara who ends up kidnapped to use as leverage against her brother. Blane and his people are after revenge for the horrors and atrocities carried out by Ciara's father and he's hoping she will be the tool for her brother's downfall.
This had a real enemies-to-lovers vibe and Blane does start by hating Ciara for the blood that runs through her veins. He isn't kind to her and treats her absysmly even when he learns of her father's treatment towards his own children and how she has suffered at her father's hands he doesn't want to let go of his anticipated revenge leaving Ciara with little choice but to attempt to leave.
But Blane's dragon is a separate entity than his host has claimed Ciara for his own marking her as his now Blane just needs to catch up with his beast in the feelings department and also let go of his revenge if he wants a future with the woman he has come to crave. Something he is struggling to do. There are also additional forces at work that want this peace to fail putting Ciara directly in danger.
This was well-written captivating and such an easy read. I adore this series and it was great to be back in the heart of Faery where this takes place. I loved seeing all of the familiar faces and this was a fabulous addition to the series that I enjoyed a lot.

An enjoyable read this is a paranormal romance involving all sorts of otherworldly creatures. We have dragons vampires wolf shifters and many more. The world set up here was intriguing and I'm definitely a sucker for anything involving dragon shifters. Kasia is a mythical believed extinct phoenix she has been in hiding with her mother and sisters for many years. When her mother is murdered by the very dragon that also killed her father with her dying breaths she acts out her contingency plan transfering her powers and sending her four daughters into hiding all separately. A year later Kasia is having full-body migraines which brings her out of seclusion and places her in danger of discovery.
Brand is a former gold royal dragon he is clanless now and rogue since his family were all killed at the hands of the unsurper gold king Uther he lives for his revenge and Kasia might just be the key to achieving this. Escorting her to safety and into the hands of his ally the blue dragon king who is currently at war with Kasia's main adversary Pytheios. Brand fights his attraction telling himself she is not for him to mate and to disregard this edict means letting go of all of his goals something he has no plans to do.
As the two travel together with constant danger directly on their heels it's inevitable that they grow closer. But there is so much more at stake here than their own personal longings Kasia is the key to power and everyone wants to possess the phoenix for one reason or another.
This was an easy read and Brand and Kasia had intense chemistry together. This also had an interesting plot and I'm looking forward to discovering more going forward. Each book in this series focuses on a different sister so they are all standalone romances with an ongoing story arc. I found this well-written and am planning on continuing this series.

This is the conclusion to the series and I did mostly enjoy it. There was some excellent spice and some extremely emotional moments and I could definitely feel the love between Olivia and her four mates. I especially enjoyed the internal banter and how comfortable this lot are with their feelings and this did manage to round the story off giving me closure.
Where it lost points for me was the eventual conclusion it just felt very anti-climatic we have been building up to this moment throughout the series and I felt it was over in a blink and only a small part of this book concentrated on this final showdown. I did find this slightly disappointing though I did appreciate Olivia’s outcome and where she ended up.
I just felt the finale was extremely rushed but as a whole, I’ve enjoyed this series some bits just more than others. It is well written and is also highly imaginative and if you like characters that are in touch with their emotions this one definitely has you covered.

Another good edition to the series I really enjoyed this third book and here Olivia discovers her final mate Sebastian who is a snake shifter. He’s been stuck in his huge snake form for the last five years following some serious emotional trauma but one whiff of Jonah’s blood piques his interest as he doesn’t smell quite human. Sebastian comes on board the mate train a lot quicker than Trace did he’s lonely and isolated living alone in the wild and craving a family to call his own. He’s quite close to his animal and it seems to be very close to the surface making him at times almost animalistic in his behaviour.
Lucas is now back from time spent recovering with his treasure and Jonah’s metamorphosis is progressing at a rapid rate with it all finally coming to a head in a dramatic conclusion. This was enjoyable and well written and an easy read I’m anticipating the finale to the series and excited to discover how things will now play out.
I liked this second book way more than the first so it’s decided I’ll be reading the rest of the series. This is definitely a case of it[image] [image]
I liked this second book way more than the first so it’s decided I’ll be reading the rest of the series. This is definitely a case of it took a while to connect but now I have I’m really enjoying myself. There just seems to be much more going on here than in the previous book and I am loving Lucas the most he’s definitely my favourite mate so far. Also, the chemistry seems to have clicked here and I definitely loved the inclusion of Trace as Olivia gains a new mate to add to her circle.
Be aware this also has some M/M which I loved as Trace is bisexual. Here the dagger leads them to Trace who is a cowboy with a ranch he’s also a Griffin shifter which is certainly different. In this second book, Jonah is also going through some stuff and his confidence is definitely taking a hit and I did feel for him.
This series for me was a slow burner in regards to my engagement so I’m glad it eventually clicked for me better late than never. It would have been such a shame as we get so many regular shifter books but here we have a wolf a dragon a Griffin and we just now need the snake that’s to come. Also, I adore that Olivia is a Kraken and that mermaids and sirens are a thing. I’m off to read the next one.
This is definitely unique and I did find it intriguing it’s a paranormal reverse harem set in a world which has many breeds of different[image] [image]
This is definitely unique and I did find it intriguing it’s a paranormal reverse harem set in a world which has many breeds of different shifters. This Is the first book in a series and though it didn’t blow me away I’m invested enough to try the next book. The world-building here did unfortunately let things down slightly and maybe I need to read other series by this author set in this world to fully appreciate it. This was my first exposure to it and maybe that’s why it felt like there was some crucial information missing.
It’s told from multiple POV’s and our heroine Olivia is a former Triton (a mermaid) an incident in her childhood caused her to evolve into a Kraken-type creature losing her tail but gaining legs which meant she could exist on land. After years of tests which prove fruitless her future is looking grim Olivia is devolving and every time she shifts into her base form it brings her one step closer to being stuck in that form forever.
When Olivia meets Jonah she feels an instant connection the two just get each other, he’s a shifter who can’t access his wolf an incident with a pissed-off protective dragon caused some massive damage leaving him paralysed. Now though he’s essentially cured but for unknown reasons he still can’t shift into his wolf form.
When these two cross paths it starts them on a journey following an obscure prophecy that could ultimately rescue Olivia from what she thought was set in stone. This quest also brings them into contact with Lucas a Dragon with a connection to Jonah’s past.
I did enjoy this and I am planning to read the next book but there was also something missing. I did like the playful vibe between Olivia and Jonah and when Lucas entered the playing field he did manage to slot in easily despite their initial rocky start and Jonah’s natural bias towards the fact Lucas is a dragon.
I’m invested enough to keep reading and the second book will decide if I stay the course. But overall this was well written and very different with the heroine being a Kraken shifter. I believe there are still two more mates to come some sort of snake and a griffin so I’m looking forward to discovering more.
The grand finale of the series managed to wrap things up to my satisfaction. Here we get to finally understand and learn just where Khyr[image] [image]
The grand finale of the series managed to wrap things up to my satisfaction. Here we get to finally understand and learn just where Khyros dragon has been and the why of it all. I found this enjoyable and gripping and it easily managed to engage and immerse me in the unfolding action.
The heroine here Azenyah could be a bit infuriating though she had complete tunnel Vision and her taking of the moral high ground was definitely an ingrained character trait. I did understand the scope of what she was dealing with so I tried to cut her some slack and when she did begin to mellow and lower her barriers around the clan she was different again. Saying that though she was from a different era and she did need to be a tough cookie to deal with Khyros as he himself was far from perfect here. I suppose what I’m trying to say is these two matched and were what they needed to be. They had both been shaped by their pain and experiences and behaved accordingly.
Be aware that this one does have more of a dub-con flavour than its predecessors. It did fit for this couple and Khyros and Azenyah’s bond does seem a lot based on the whole primal instinct and the alpha/omega bond. Their start together is very much founded in misconceptions regarding each other and their interactions do reflect this sometimes with a dark slant.
So I loved how much of the previous couples were also included here and I do believe this does need to be read in series order just because of the underlying story arc running through. Doing so will definitely enhance your experience as there is a lot going on story-wise that will be confusing without this background. I also really appreciated the finish with this it was ever so heart-warming and such a perfect idyllic moment to rest things with. This series as a whole has been fabulous and I’ve enjoyed it immensely if dragons and the intense omega/alpha vibe is your jam this is definitely the series for you. I voluntary reviewed a copy of A lair so Royal.

To solidify a peace alliance between the witches and the dragons Cordelia is promised in marriage to the mad dragon prince but when he cruelly rejects her she finds an unexpected solace in his twin brother Ian. Discovering there are in fact mates Cordelia being the omega to Ian’s alpha the two instead connect but with treachery afoot there path to happiness is not a simple one.
This actually started out quite promising and I was initially intrigued but unfortunately, it was soon apparent there was a basic lack of any world-building which was a shame and I also found the pacing to be off. The romance is very instalove I did like how sweet Ian was and I also liked that Cordelia wasn’t a conventional heroine but Unfortunately though the chemistry just felt off and then the second half of this story just felt very rushed and didn’t make complete sense either. I also felt things were glossed over and there were no wider explanations on a larger scale also the characters themselves felt one-dimensional as well.
I didn’t understand why there was a massive separation the reasons for it were sketchy at best and then their reconnection was completely glossed over and very unsatisfying so I didn’t feel this provided any real closure. I’m not even sure of exactly what occurred other than a few minor details it’s basically guesswork. Unfortunately, this one wasn’t really my bag there was also something missing and I began heavily skimming as I was bored. These sorts of stories definitely need a firm foundation when it comes to building a believable world and this, unfortunately, didn’t have that.
This actually started out strong I Liked the writing and the story was intriguing I was optimistic about what was to come. In fairness, [image] [image]
This actually started out strong I Liked the writing and the story was intriguing I was optimistic about what was to come. In fairness, I did enjoy bits of this but I also had some issues with certain character portrayals there were some unlikable individuals and not just from the ones that I’d been expecting to dislike.
The initial first chapters were good but after they crash land when their ship is boarded by pirates it swiftly went downhill for me. I wasn’t very keen on Calista as a person it wasn’t an immediate distaste rather it crept up on me very gradually. I found her to be weak and easily swayed by the opinions of others. Her initial defence of her new protector was half-arsed at best. In my opinion, she did the bare minimum needed and actually started to distance herself to avoid the group's censure which was a pretty shitty thing to do. Especially because her inner monologue was telling me that she knew exactly how to play it she just chose not to and I thought he deserved better than that.
Ladon on the other hand was a real sweetie. He had a tail and wings but he was also very humanoid in appearance he was protective and loyal. But I felt he was also the one making all of the concessions. Why should he assist and lend his aid to such an ungrateful rude people and even allow them to reside in his home because it was what Calista wanted it all seemed to be about her and her happiness and I did feel she valued their good opinion much more than she cared for Ladon and it did leave a bad taste.
Calista also constantly makes stupid decisions putting herself in constant danger this surprised me as initially she didn’t seem the sort Ladan finds himself constantly having to rescue her and when he’s naturally irate she just turns on the waterworks which totally works with Ladan every time
I also found her friends inappropriate and lacking boundaries. I think it was meant to come across as cute and banterish but who places hands on another’s male suggestively without a sheer lack of respect for your close friend. Calista’s inferiority complex was definitely her own issue but her friends didn’t feel much like friends to me.
This one was also quite instalove in nature there isn’t really any resistance or angst and our two lovers swiftly succumb to their mutual attraction. There is some slight inappropriate behaviour on Ladan’s part initially but to be honest it was more curiosity than anything sinister. There’s also some unusual anatomy and the spice level with this was indeed hot there is also a language barrier to further complicate things.
Overall the writing was ok but it was also slightly stripped back and I didn’t think there was enough personal background on either Calista or Ladan they did feel a bit one dimensional and I wasn’t invested mostly due to not feeling I really knew them that well.
There were also slight discrepancies that weren’t explained to my complete satisfaction. I wasn’t sure who the who was when it came down to rescue. I mean they’ve been travelling the stars their whole lifetime to reach somewhere that they wouldn’t be arriving at in their own lifetimes so where were they even planning to go next to resume their journey in space it just wasn’t clarified to my satisfaction. The final nail for me was the title it’s totally misleading there are no babies anywhere in this story instead it alludes to the fact that Calista right at the end of this discovers she’s pregnant and that’s it so I’ve no idea why it’s called what it is.
So though it was apparent this is a series as it dropped crumbs I won’t be continuing on unfortunately I’m just not interested or invested enough in reading any further. This may be a fit for those who like a lighter more easy style of sci-fi romance it does have a sweet devoted buff alien dragon man as the love interest to recommend it.
This was great I do love this author’s inhuman males and imagination and she really pulls that out of the bag here. Instead of a dragon [image] [image]
This was great I do love this author’s inhuman males and imagination and she really pulls that out of the bag here. Instead of a dragon that shapeshifts into a more humanoid appearance here, the dragon just becomes smaller but he’s still a dragon and I found that strangely compelling. Genre wise this reads a bit like fantasy post-apocalyptic steampunk so a bit of a mish mash. I especially liked the fact that our heroine Tania is a thirty-six old thief she’s also a bit of an opportunist which I found refreshing.
It’s during her latest daring heist that she finds herself coming to the attention of an Ice dragon something she didn’t believe in and this dragon upon scenting Tania decides she’s his mate. It’s all very primal and instinctive on his part and Tania is more than happy to indulge not that she’s given much choice. She then steals away with some of his precious hoard totally enraging him.
Drathnor has been alone for a long time he lives separate from his brethren rejecting their ways when it comes to taking a mate. He doesn’t want to be one of many or give away his treasure to a female as tradition dictates he wants one of his own a precious jewel as the pinnacle of his hoard. Matehood snaps the bonds into place instantly for him his life force now tethered to hers but Tania is going to need a bit more convincing and training to understand just what their bond entails. There are also strange things afoot the monastery under which he nests and is now temporarily residing has a strange foul taint one that spells unknown dangers and Drathnor is determined not to allow anything to harm his small precious human mate.
This was erotic and sexy and very different I loved the primal aspects of the mating and loved how protective and possessive Drathnor was towards Talia. As well as the spice this had a decent storyline and I could feel the developing bond click right into place. Overall this was a very enjoyable and unique experience. It has magic and priests and mages and a real dragon it was also well written dual POV and highly imaginative. I definitely recommend this if you want to read something a bit different.

This was a dark fantasy YA with some phenomenal world-building and dragon shifters. It’s set in the fictional kingdom of Verald that exists under the yoke of a tyrannical king there’s a rebellion movement in which Ryn exists on the outskirts of. Coming to the attention of the king and his own personal Drae Lord Irrik was never going to be a good thing and here it lands Ryn with her mother's dead killed as a supposed rebel and Ryn thrown in the king's dungeons subject to never-ending torture and abuse.
I felt this book was mostly about setting the scene it wasn’t always an easy read considering just how much our heroine is subjected to and when we start this Ryn is very much a character being forged and moulded through darkness and pain. She’s initially naïve and still very young only seventeen with an idealistic view still tainting all of her expectations. Finding herself subject to the whims of a cruel and sadistic king and facing daily torture that would break a lesser character only makes Ryn stronger until eventually, she morphs into her true skin.
This is all told from Ryn's POV as she traverses the minefields of her current situation. The daily tortures lack of food and psychological cruelties all add to Ryn’s burden. Her only respite a fellow prisoner and a mysterious healer. Lord Irrik is also a conundrum cold and cruel but then sometimes he appears to be something else. Bound to obey the king by his oath Ryn knows he cannot be trusted in fact trust for anyone is something she can’t afford as nobody here is what they first seem. But there are also secrets just waiting to be revealed some that concern Ryn and her true origins.
This is very well written but the amount of torture was excessive and this book at times felt quite heavy and dark. The romance here was quite minimal and this is very slow burn in nature but I’m actually optimistic for the second book if only to see where Ryn and her Drae can go from this. I also predict great things are on the horizon for Ryn.

What a finale this was it was absolutely amped with so much going on it took me on a journey through every conceivable emotion and I was enthralled throughout. Quite a feat considering the sheer epic length of this one man this was a doozy of a book it was mammoth. So many secrets were finally revealed here as we finally get some much-needed answers and I was correct in my assumption of just who King was not that that took away from my enjoyment.
This crossed the T’s and dotted the I’s but still left some slight things hanging one being Gabriel’s true identity so guess I’m going to be diving into Zodiac academy as well as Darkmore Penitentiary to catch up with Roary and Rosalie in the very near future.
This series has been quite the undertaking and I’ve enjoyed every minute and loved all of the individuals involved but for me, the stand out character in this has got to be Leon I just adored him so much everyone needs a Leo in their life he just oozes such fun and playfulness and he makes me smile from ear to ear his heart is massive and he’s just so openly candid in all his affections.
I also loved the extended epilogues they were the icing for me and my heart nearly stopped a dozen times over during the course of this at times it had me on the edge of my seat. This series definitely gets my seal of approval in every single way. It has everything you could ever want love passion humour action brotherhood the list goes on and on it's so extensive. A big thumbs up from me absolutely loved it.

A fabulous addition to the series and my favourite yet this really was chock full of every emotion possible and I was enthralled throughout. So here after the shocking events of the previous book, it felt like we were rising from the ashes of that epic fallout. Elise and Leon’s mating managing to shatter bonds wide open. Heartbreak and pain was the initial flavour of this and even as Elise and Leo are revelling in their new connection they are also feeling turmoil over the damage that it’s caused elsewhere and one crafty lion refuses to let things lie attempting to rebuild bridges and forge new pathways ahead fixing what’s been broken and he does this in pure Leon style and got to say he was both adorable humorous and totally stubborn in his inability to admit defeat with his chosen task.
Loved all the lion lioness and pride references and the boyfriend in-law jokes were truly adorable and totally hilarious. There are also fragile bonds forming as these boys start to gel together Elise being the glue that binds them as a unit. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes here in regards to the black card and the current war going on with Felix. There's closure to be had in regards to Ryder's past and Gabriel really starts to come into his own as well. I loved that these two start up a surprising bromance as they work together and find that they actually like each other becoming friends along the way.
Then there’s the finale it was amped forcing Ryder to make a decision that could ultimately cost him everything especially if he picks wrong. This then ended on a cliffhanger that definitely left me wanting more safe to say this was a good one and I enjoyed it immensely.

This was great and I was engrossed throughout we really picked up the pace with Elise’s kings in this instalment beginning the journey of coming together as a unit in their quest to make their girl happy some more so than others. Leading the charge is Leo with a bundle of acceptance and playfulness he’s just so easy to like. But it isn’t all plain sailing and when secrets are revealed it nearly breaks someone who I really didn’t expect it to whilst elsewhere enemies reluctantly unite all for the love of their girl.
There was action danger and so much humour and passion to be had but then also such heartbreak and the near loss of someone very dear. The finale was explosive and then that finish just floored me it was so good everything imploded leaving some very shattered hearts behind. I’m definitely on board for the next book and I can’t wait to see what happens next this series is so addictive and I’m definitely enjoying myself a whole lot.
I’m really enjoying this series so far it’s so imaginative and I have lots of questions that need answering like yesterday. This builds [image] [image]
I’m really enjoying this series so far it’s so imaginative and I have lots of questions that need answering like yesterday. This builds momentum pushing the storyline further still as Elise pushes for answers regarding her brother's demise. There are definitely secrets still waiting to be revealed concerning all of the kings and their involvement in Gareth’s life and death.
Elise gets closer to all her obsessions here especially Leo and Dante they really took centre stage and the chemistry here was explosive. Gabriel is also having a change of heart when it comes to Elise he also manages to uncover some of her secrets but there is obviously something he feels great shame for and it definitely involves Elise’s brother. Then there’s Ryder he’s a tough one so determined to push away anything soft and show zero weakness in his path of personal vengeance he understands pain all too well and will go to any length to achieve his goals. But here he does manage to lower his guard slightly but only for the girl, he can’t stay away from showing a sliver of something that’s totally foreign to him that only she manages to bring forth. This is still only at a medium burn in regards to some of the characters but there’s so much tension and anticipation in the air.
This had action and passion and intrigue I love the fact it’s set in a magical school. Also, the unique aspect of these fae creatures is really appealed. I am especially loving Leo he’s bloody adorable and he and Dante make such a great tag team but I am hoping we do get much more Ryder and Gabriel in the next instalment to even things out. The finale here was explosive and I’m excited to see what happens next. War is definitely coming that for sure and I’m anticipating how this unfolds especially in regards to Elise’s kings.
