And darker too. And even if I sort of hate what Kent's doing to Jacob, it's still erotic AF. Disturbing and all. And the ending! North sure knows how to twist a story. Can't wait for the finale! But I'm not sure what to think about their plan on dual endings. Or, what am I saying. I'll prob read both of them....more

I also really like that there's a solid story to support all the decadent smut. Which is pretty impressive considering this is only a novella and most of it is still all about the schmex. I would have liked some more physical descriptions of Jacob and Kent. They're described in the first novella, but when reading this one I'd forgotten. And here they're mostly described as Kent being huge and muscled and Jacob being smaller. Still, great smut. Highly recommend!...more

AThis book had everything I want from an ABO read!
- Fated mates - Bad guys with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. - Juicy schmexy-times - External drama
Although, I do prefer world building that includes women, and this is not one of those. But that didn't take away from my enjoyment really, it's more of a comment on my personal tastes.
Bully For Sale has the juiciness level one would expect from anything Leta Blake. And the fact that it contains 4.5 stars.
This is ABO smut done right!
Bully For Sale has the juiciness level one would expect from anything Leta Blake. And the fact that it contains Alpha-Omega dynamics ratchets up the heat level even more. It was awesome, excessively d*** and a** centered, and it tipped over the edge to too much on several occasions. Which is also expected.
Before starting, I couldn't quite piece together the reasoning behind the title. It wasn't Ezer the Omega who bullied Ned the Alpha after all. And a lot of the story was just like that; not immediately obvious and with some twists and turns. It was unpredictable while also being exactly as predictable as ABO stories usually are.
Ezer was great. His omega status combined with his uncaring Alpha father made for the perfect storm. The circumstances around Ezer's heat contract were sort of plausible, and Blake succeeded in providing an explanation to how Ned and Ezer ends up together like they do. But Ned, well, let's say that I had more trouble liking him. He had a lot of redeeming to do and it was a long, loooong time before I could get over how he'd been complicit in tormenting Ezer. Truthfully I thought he was a wuss. But even a wuss deserves a happy ending, so it all worked out.
It was great that the events tied into the the first Heat For Sale book, even if it's a stand-alone. Seeing Heath and Adrien again was a treat. And I would really like to read about Ezer's brother Shan next, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Anyway. This is a top notch ABO smut fest with a story. It has all the components that will pull at your heart strings as well as abundant f*****g, all in a world where omegas have a weird dependency on Alpha spunk. It can't get juicier than that.
4.5 stars!
Highly recommend!

It was exactly what I needed right now. Fast-paced, kind of short, and a romance that wasn't entirely as predictable as it could have been. Sure, it was only low to medium on the steam scale, but with the generally juicy storyline, the spice was enough.
I just love the I'm-an-omega-but-didn't-know-it-trope. And combined with an abduction and a forced (but not quite unwanted) bonding to a big hunk of an alien... Well. It hit all my spots.
Alex, the human omega, is tasked to establish contact with the dominant alien race of the planet Mukhana. But on his first visit, one of the big aliens sniffs him out (literally) as an omega and decides to "save" him. That's how Alex finds himself mated off to the intimidating but sexy as heck Saar. Only Alex knows that the humans won't accept one of their own being kidnapped, he knows they will retaliate. The thought of leaving Saar is painful, but Alex can't stand the thought of the Nassa people getting hurt because of him.
Since the story was short, there wasn't much space for world-building. But it was enough to set the scene, and what was revealed was interesting. The take on omega-alpha pairings was not exactly unique but it had a fresh spin that wasn't simply the old fated-mates thing. I liked it, and its implications for the alien society as a whole. It was refreshing to read.
This is definitely a guilty pleasure read and I enjoyed it immensely. So much in fact that I pre-ordered the second book in the series which won't be released until December. The blurb isn't even available yet put that didn't stop me. So, again, even if it's not a 5-star it's still a very, very delicious story.
Fast paced entertainment, reluctant bonding/mating, and altogether juicy. I think that sums up The Alpha's Warlock pretty well.
The best reads, in my oFast paced entertainment, reluctant bonding/mating, and altogether juicy. I think that sums up The Alpha's Warlock pretty well.
The best reads, in my opinion, are the ones that deliver what you're looking for. And this one really (I mean really) did. I wanted a quick read with some delicious shifter shenanigans and knotting, but I got so much more than that.
Size difference - yes please and thank you.
Overprotectiveness - Ian's pretty much the definition of that trait.
Lots of action - Kidnapping, vampires, magic traps, more kidnapping, and fighting werewolf packs. So, yup!
A protagonist getting himself in trouble and being rescued/taken care of by the love interest - Oh yes. Many times.(In all fairness, Nate saves Ian as well so it's not exactly one-sided). Sure, you could argue that Nate might lose consciousness a few too many times, but I'm personally quite partial to the dynamics of one MC being more vulnerable. But all the fainting aside, Nate is not a damsel in distress, just so you know.
And as the series suggests, the difference between the protagonists. They're not actually mismatched of course (since they're perfect for each other), it only appears that way at a first glance.
So yes, this was a great read. The thing that shaved a star off my rating was the constant misunderstandings, failure to communicate, and general bullheadedness of both Nate and Ian. I mean, assuming things (incorrectly) and failing to actually speak to your partner can absolutely be a part of the relationship issues on the way to a happy ending. But it shouldn't be all the drama. And it very nearly is in this read. There are lots of other things happening (non-stop action as I said), but in terms of the lovestory, both guys have the emotional maturity and communication skills of 12-year olds.
Aside from that I highly recommend this read! And I was super psyched to see it's a series. And a long one at that! 4 super strong stars!
