The book starts when Quinn Montgomery receives a phone call from her mother, telling her that she has to come home to attend to her familiar's funeral.
Quinn hasn't go there since she left to chase her dreams, losing contact to everyone.
But the main reason she didn't go back is to avoid her ex Graham Hayes. 9 years of anger, frustration and misunderstandings, separted them.
Once she gets back, we see how they changed. Her family is cold, they grow up and formed their own families. Same thing with Graham. He isn't the sweet boy anymore, he is bitter towards her.
The story is about healing process, how after the loss, we have to move on. I love how the family dynamics slowly changed, from avoiding her to trying to talk and fix their problems.
Besides all these years, Graham and Quinn have an insane chemistry and they just needed some talks to fix their problems. I love how both were honest to each other and never forced themselves to sacrifice their dreams to chase the other one ...more

Since book one in the series, I have been anticipating Tillie and Nate's story, but let me tell you this book wreck me in 1000 pieces.
The book includes:
✅ Dark romance ✅ Hate to love ✅ Pregnancy ✅ Angst ✅ Steamy scenes ✅ Strong heroine
The story continues to where tacet a mortuis left. Tillie is someone who deals thru a lot in her life: she was abused by her father, she had no mother and her only relative left her. At 18 yo, she becomes a mom and she learns she is a Stuprum.
Then we have Nate, which we also met previously and we know he feels for Tillie. But also, he blames her for running from him and claims he hates her. There are some chapters in his POV, but I wish we have got more, because he is a complicated character which we don't know that much from him.
The whole story is an emotional ride, which is more told in Tillie's POV. The last 10 chapters wreck me and I cried a lot. Amo's words made me believe I was Tillie and all I can say is that my heart ached for her.
Tillie is one of my favourite heroines I have ever read. She is the strongest and trust me when I say her story isn't something easy to deal with, but it's told in a beautiful way.
The last chapter left me confused and took me by surprise, I wasn't expecting that turn, that's why I can't wait for next book!!...more

Selene Drake is a little girl obssessed with greek mythology and the moon. All her life is around that, until she meets Endymion Black. She falls for him immediately and since then her life is about him.
He is 4 years older, the new guy, popular between females and doesn't aknowledge her, until her 18th birthday. That night they connect, but at the same time she experiments heartbreak and leaves.
6 years later, she comes back to her childhood's town, but her life changed. Besides all, Endymion starts to aknowledge her as a woman, but this time she is the one pushing him and he is the one chasing her.
The chemistry between Endymion and Selene is over the top. Their romance is an emotional ride, some scenes made me cry, others made me angsty, but 60% of scenes made me swoon. Endymion and Selene are the cutest ...more

Edie Van Der Zee might be 18, but she had to mature before any teen. Since she is 12 yo, she had to take care of her mother and her little brother, since her father barely aknowledge their existence. Due to that, she hates everything related to money and power because that reminds her of her cold asshole father.
After refusing to go college, he forces her to work in FHH as less than a personal assistant, in exchange to let her visit her brother, as a way to teach her to "act" as an adult.
There she meets Trent Rexroth, a biracial 33 yo man, who caught her attention since day 1. They don't like each other because they are supposed to be enemies bc of Jordan (her father) and she is way younger than him.
Trent aka "the mute" had always to deal with criticism because his race (his mother is white, his father is black) and because he used to be poor. But after lots of efforts, he is now millionaire who his biggest issue is to be a good parent to Luna.
Luna is a 4 years old girl, who doesn't talk because she doesn't want to and struggles with lots of nannies, since her mom left her. But when she meets Edie, they connect instantly and she starts opening to someone else than herself.
When Trent sees how they connect, he hires her two days a week to hang out with them. The more time they spend together, their attraction turns to something deeper.
I'm glad LJ Shen put representation on the racism that biracials have to deal with. Also she explained so well the cause to an illness one of the characters deals with.
I love so much the dynamics between Luna and Edie. I think she saw her young self and understood her the most.
We get to meet the 2nd generation kids: Daria is 6 yo and she acts as a mean girl. Knight is 3 yo and he is so protective with Luna. Luna is a quite and smart kid, but she is also sensitive.
It was nice to see the other hotholes new life style after getting married and having kids.
As y'all imagine I do hate Jordan Van Der Zee and Val (Luna's mom). I'm so happy Trent and the hotholes caught all the stuff he has been doing and ended him.
The epilogue was so cute and I'm so happy Edie and Trent had their HEA after everything❤...more

Such an amazing and swoony story, between two people who had a one night stand and they were apart for 6 years till the universe threw them together and met again, but in Montana.Turns out that she had a daughter!
No telephone, no last name and no other details about their personal lifes, forced them to stay apart. So when they met again in Montana, Thea Landry wants to tell him about her.
At first, Logan Kendrick is shook and nervous to adjust his new reality, but then he does everything to be an amazing dad and partner.
The attraction between Thea and Logan is pure fire, but Thea doesn't want anything with Logan for so many reasons: she wants him to love his daughter as a dad and not bc he loves her, she is scared to fall in love when everyone in her past let her down and she knows they live in different worlds (Logan and his family are so rich, while she is just a bartender).
But Logan will prove to be the man in her dreams bc not only he will make Charlie feel loved, but also bc he does anything to make Thea happy.
I love so much the dynamics between Charlie, Thea and Logan. Their scenes together were the cutest ...more
