Hi Vanessa, I too just read this. I no longer celebrate Christmas in December (and Sedaris is right on the mark as to why one might just skip it all) , but do celebrate the Christmas event along with Easter, a sort of personal springtime celebration of birth/renewal, my very own, personal, "Festivus."
Greg...I like that idea! Maybe I’ll have my own private festivus. I’m not good with all the Christmas hoopla, that’s why I enjoyed this collection particularly.
I could not finish this book. Normally I enjoy this author's humor, but after the first chapter I stopped laughing and became disgusted with his lack of compassion. I just didn't get what he was trying to accomplish.
