The best part of this book is DuQuette's introduction. A fairly boring journal of a magicians attempt at the HGA...I like some of Katzs' work, but there's something a bit off about a Magician publishing a private journal of a very complex and life changing rite.
I wondered while reading if Katzs' plan was always to publish the journal...and it greatly lessened his words and the sincerity of his efforts.
