really liked it

“When the sea goes down, there will come from the mainland boats and men. And they will find ten dead bodies and an unsolved problem on Soldier Island.”

My first Agatha Christie, and a good one indeed. And Then There Were None just recently came to my attention. Maybe it was the new mini-series or the many people suddenly reading this, but I was intrigued immediately. I can't wait to watch the series!

Agatha Christie totally tricked me. I thought I had figured it out, but I was wrong. This novel turned out to be exactly what it promised. A murder mystery, a mad psychothriller of a book. I would have liked a little more detail and character depth, but I have nothing to criticise in general. Would highly recommend.

Emma I couldn't agree more! It was my first Christie novel as well. I really enjoyed it and I kept thinking I had the entire thing solved but I was wrong! The BBC TV movie version of this book is really enthralling as well. :)

Kai Spellmeier I feel like this was the first Christie for many people :D I guess it's because it is one of her most popular books

Kai Spellmeier This is one of those books where the adaption could be even better. Not that the book is bad - obviously - just that it is simple in writing and characters. I bet the show is going to be amazing.

Áine I can't wait to read this book! The TV series was so captivating I had to watch the three episodes in a row :)

I watched it on a plane and I think I was way too tired. Still gotta watch the last episode.

No worries :)

Janet Agatha Christie is not big on character development. You won't find much of it in any of her books.

Too bad, but her stories are good anyway

Saksham I really enjoyed the book, too. It was filled with a ton of suspense and a really unsolvable mystery. However, did anyone else feel it started off a little bit slow?
