Allie's fiancé is too wrapped up in his job as a lawyer. He puts his job first and Allie second. He even leaves her at the altar on her wedding day to track down a case for work. His only response was to send her a text: -"Sorry about craziness. We’ll get married another day. Not end of world. Promise."-
Unable to stay in Toronto any longer, Allie decides to move back to her home town for a few months. Needing to get away from her parents, she rents a house for the summer. She is shocked when someone walks in on her while she's taking a bath in her new rental home! Even worse, she will have to share a house with a stranger!
This book grabbed me from the start. I loved the fast pace and the easy reading style. I laughed out loud at the bathroom scene and throughout the story. There were a few plot twists and I found Allie really annoying but Ethan was awesome!
There were several grammatical errors and some plot inconsistencies that did slow down the reading process, however. Some more editing would have greatly helped.
I was thrilled that the story was based in Canada. I've read a few stories by this author but I think this was my favourite. I really enjoyed it.
