DNF @ 10%
I don't mind a good useless information dump, if it'll add to the plot later on. However, there were around four info dumb in just the first chapter. I was so excited to read this after the prologue, but that first chapter killed me. It took me around eight hours to finish.
For me, this book simply had too much telling and not enough showing through the writing. Then there was the fact I already hated the name of our main character - which is said frequently due to third person narrative - due to a girl named Zoe being a bitch to one of my favourite people (aka Caitlin, do I have any other friends?).

Actually, 30/467 I've marked as DNF. So, maybe you should get your math right, because that's definitely not 90%. Also, "just stop it"? Honey, if you don't like it why are you following me if my system of rating seems to piss you off?

I give 1 star for books I dnf, I wish I could give zero. If I spent my money it's my right to rate as I please. If the book was a DNF, it's because the story wasn't engaging or interesting enough to hold my interest. Hence, bad rate.
Amber, you rate your books as you please.

Exactly! I wasted both my time and money, so a I feel a one star is fair. I know a book isn't for me if it isn't engaging me by 10%, sometimes earlier. Never understnd why people get angry about how other people rate or feel the need to tell them off.
Thank you so much for your comment!

I don't understand either. Specially this is a platform for doing exactly this. Rate books and if you want to, explain why you rated it that way. It's the free speech right. These trolls need to find better arguments to criticize reviewers. Instead of making unnecessary comments in someone else's reviews, they should take their time and spend on their space and promote the book as they please. In the end, attacking reviewers is a disservice to the author. Many readers stop reading some writers because of bad behavior of their fangirls. Terrible publicity
