If you crochet, you need to get this book! The designs are super cute, the instructions are very easy to read, plus there are color-coded charts if you prefer those. Most of the designs are based on a beginner’s stitch with more complex parts added on if you choose.

The book is full of full-color photos and gives several ideas to modify the designs. The author gives helpful insights and tips throughout the book and rates each pattern to let you know what to expect.

She also begins the book with what is needed as well as the types of stitches to expect, which is very helpful for a beginner.

Though many of the designs are shown to be used as children’s gifts, some can be modified for the animal lover in your life.

The only issue I have with this book is the title. Yes, it has rugs, but it has so much more in it! This is a great book for those who want to create happiness through crochet.
