I literally finished this book in three hours, I just love a fast paced books. I can't say it was better than 'City of Bones' but this was just as fun and delightful.
I love Cassidy and Jacob together and individually, I simply cannot get enough of them. It's always fun reading about them and their adventures.

But the reason why I wasn't as excited as I was for the first book was that I thought it'd be a duology and then it turned into a trilogy and well I was a bit salty afterwards. 😅
But the good news is I enjoyed this book as well, so yay! 😀

No worries, I actually finished it last week and I was salty for the same reason!!! are we wrong or was it really a duology?

Nope, we definitely weren't wrong! It was supposed to be a duology and the news about book 3 was announced just a couple of months ago. So, I don't think the author intended to extend Cassidy Blake books for more than 2 books, at first. Most of the time it bothers me when that happens (books getting extended and all) but I don't mind when it comes to this series because I really like the main characters. I just hope it won't get boring.

Yes, I see! I always get salty when that happens! This book felt like a filler though so I can see why she extended it.
