** spoiler alert ** Hell fucking no. Husband cheats on his wife the first month into their marriage. He disappeared after taking her virginity on their wedding night and it turns out he had been fucking his crazy ex fiancé the whole time.

Don’t give a damn that it wasn’t a marriage of love.

Worthless cheating piece of shit.

Over and over again throughout the entire book he calls her a whore. He even calls her one in front of his best friend. He treats her like garbage and insults her in front of other people. The fact that this imbecile of an author thinks this is romantic is beyond me. Romanticizing a man that calls a woman whore, cheap, trash, and a cum dumpster and having her fall in love with him? What a disgusting example of love and romance. I’m ashamed that I’ve ever read a book by a woman that would write something so absolutely vulgar and disgusting and paint it as romantic.

There’s no relationship or character development. It literally goes from him hate fucking her and finishing with calling her a whore for 80% of the book to her finding out about the cheating and now he’s in love. What? How the hell did that happen? How does the heroine fall in love with a man that fucks her and then calls her a cum dumpster? Where the hell did the love come from?

TO TOP IT OFF, HE ALSO HAD A TATTOO OF THE OW ON HIS BACK. Don’t give a shit that he has it removed (last few pages of the book)

London Omg son of a bitch

message 3: by KatS (new) - added it

KatS Just sad. Would have read it too if he kept it in his pants and stayed faithful. Thanks for the warning.

message 4: by Rachel (new) - added it

Rachel Disgusting!!!

GimmeAllTheWerdssss Don’t forget that it’s the mistress who tries to kill the heroine later on....when that doesn’t succeed she claims to be pregnant. THAT is how the heroine find out what he was up to that month....

London And the fact that he takes her virginity in such a shitty way. She was dry and he didn’t even care if he hurt her.

Darlene I read WAY to many books Nope nope.. thanks for the review i don't wanna read a cheater even if it was a arrange marragie and reading the comments how he treats her.. no thanks

message 8: by Katerina (new)

Katerina Gag, thanks for the heads up. I mean Lilley wrote about Tristan and Danika so it’s unsurprising that she’s partial to cheating I guess, her Male hero’s tend to do that other than In flight but James basically fucked the entire female population before meeting Bianca so. 😭🤷‍♀️

message 9: by Ellie (new)

Ellie Aye this writer is on my black list. Seriously f-ed up ideas on love and trust. The H's are pure poison and the h's are weak-minded blow-up dolls. Great review, btw.

message 10: by Mayra (new)

Mayra Wow had no idea because everyone was raving about this book but I hate cheating. Thanks!

currently being delulu Did she sleep with any one else I always hate wen they guy dose it but the just can’t be with anyone els 🙄

message 12: by Dilek VT (new) - added it

Dilek VT OMG, this sounds disgusting. Thanks London!

message 13: by Ana (new) - added it

Ana Laura I do not know what these authors think to polemize this type of trash!

message 14: by Elle (new) - added it

Elle ✟ Søren's ♡ (i'm too old for this shite) What a HUGEEE turn off! Thanks for your honest review :D

London No, she doesn’t sleep with anyone else. It’s not until around 80% that they get divorced and then all of a sudden around 90% he falls her he loves her. All was forgiven way too easily. I didn’t feel like it was groveling like everyone keeps saying

message 16: by Paula (new) - added it

Paula I am so thankful for honest reviewers because this is pure trash! Thank you all for saving me the aggravation. I agree with everything you said London. This Author has a screw or two loose if she thinks this is romance or the type of characters we readers want to read about!

message 17: by Somia (new) - added it

Somia Oh lord I just gagged he sounds like an epic douche!! So not romance thank you for the info

message 18: by Charron (new)

Charron Sound horrible!

message 19: by amber (new) - rated it 1 star

amber What a trashy book. I can't believe authors try to sell this nonsense as love.

message 20: by Nilufer (new) - added it

Nilufer Ozmekik Wow! Wonderful review! And I’m definitely staying away from this piece of garbage! Thanks for the warning.

message 21: by Elaine (new) - added it

Elaine I don't care if there are people who love books with a "cheating theme", for me, when an author writes this kind of stuff is because they believe in them and wants their readers to believe in them too. I'm sorry but how can you actually make women think that cheating is forgivable or that a man who fucks around is "in love"? Why is that even romantic? Because he knows how to fuck means he is in love with a woman? No, it means the dipshit has slept around enough to know how a woman can be pleasured...
For me these kind of books/authors support women to be weak and accept bullshit from their partners. The worst is when they write that these women are "so attracted and so weak" when they are near their partners that they just want to "forgive and forget" how they hurt and humiliated them, I'm sorry but that's not love.
Thanks London for the review.

Gina R Geezus... it’s a fricken story not real life. Don’t like it then don’t read it. No need to post the entire plot and spoil it for everyone. At least hide your review because of the spoiler. I happened to enjoy this story. May not be everyone’s cup of tea but at least comment on,one as you would in person. No one likes a keyboard bully.

message 23: by Elizabeth (new) - added it

Elizabeth ^^^^
Lol they started in on me too and I didnt even rate the book

London Gina, fuck off. The entire point of goodreads is to rate and review books based on how we liked/disliked them. Not everyone has to rate something 5 stars. If I want to read and review it 1 star and rant about what garbage it was, I will.

Gina R London way to show class and tact... simply hide your review due to spoilers. Never said to change or not post hat you feel. Rant away but no need to be spiteful and ruin it for others. GR has guidelines s for spoilers and you aren’t following them is all. Relax seriously.

Rubina It would have been better if she left his ass and found a better man later in her life. And that she finally realized that her motive for money and power was meaningless because there’s more to life then that but no authors press on having the cheating male end up with the female at the end.

message 27: by Rejane (new) - added it

Rejane Why did she write this? I mean, she's not an amateur. I've read a couple of books from her (UP IN THE AIR series) and I liked it. At least at the time I did. I don't remember any cheating drama and I think they were actually nice read. But this book is completely trash. And the cover isso misleading. Instead of evolving, these author are really lowering their level and quality.

 A. Spot on review, London!

message 29: by Cris (new)

Cris Thanks for the heads up reviewers

You should see the IG promo. Def misleading.

message 31: by Rejane (new) - added it

Rejane @Elle I don’t follow any authors in social media anymore. I used to. But with this kind of plot lately it’s been a while since I unfollowed everyone. I noticed most of promos, blogs are very misleading. Specially that every single comment is about how great is the book and how the author overcome themselves in the new book. It’s ridiculous.
But I went ahead and checked this book out on IG and Facebook. I was flabbergasted at all the pictures, excerpts, comments and opinions on the book. They make the book look like the sweetest love story ever. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The worse was readers saying something like “how the hero was the most lovable bully”, “how they have a new bully boyfriend “, “how they have a new bully to love”; “how emotional the book is”. Really?? What are these people talking about?? It’s dangerously crazy what these people accept as romantic these days.
Needless to say I will keep not following them. I have all the info I need here in GR.

message 32: by amber (new) - rated it 1 star

amber “Lovable bully”???? He’s so abusive to her. Why is this type of behavior accepted? Was he forced into the marriage? Yes. Does that excuse his behavior? No.

message 33: by Rejane (new) - added it

Rejane Yes, @Amber... that’s what comments and reviewers were writing. I can’t get myself to try to understand their point of view.
The words “love”’and “bully” don’t go together

message 36: by amber (new) - rated it 1 star

amber Oh my. His behavior towards her was problematic. The entire premise of the book is problematic. How books like this are loved by the public is beyond me and it's harmful to women. Bullying is not love. He's so harsh to her and was awful to her while taking her virginity. There's so much to say about this book. Kudos to London for saying nothing but the truth.

message 37: by Rejane (new) - added it

Rejane One of the comments I couldn’t link here but it said: “I love men like Banks”.
I rest my case.
People were asking for the author to write more books like this. 🤷🏻‍♀️

message 38: by amber (new) - rated it 1 star

I too am shocked by the things ppl find romantic. My personal favorite is when ppl call books like this heartwarming and I feel like I am taking crazy pills lol

message 40: by Aman (new) - added it

Aman Love your review!! Just when I thought we were past this kind of stuff, it comes up again!

message 41: by Winter (new) - added it

GOD!! I FEEL ROBBED.

message 42: by Chem&Comp (new)

Chem&Comp "imbecile of an author " LOL

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh man. I should've read the reviews before one-clicking. I hate cheating, mainly when they stay together which seems to be in all romance books lately. I'm going to refund this, and not even wasting my time. Your review angered me so I couldn't imagine reading it. I'd be too angry to enjoy it. Thank you for posting an honest review.

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

I wish somebody would create a real hero, one who comes in and shows the heroine how a woman should be treated, and leave the dickhead, alone, and lonely.

London I just don’t understand who their target audience is. What kind of women like reading about abusive men in their romance?

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

London wrote: "I just don’t understand who their target audience is. What kind of women like reading about abusive men in their romance?"

Good question. I can't stomach it, and don't understand how women can give such a five-star.

message 47: by Ellie (new)

Ellie I don't know, but there's a lot of them out there and I wonder where this mentality comes from. So many writers seem to be hostile towards females. They portray our gender-and their own - as weak-willed, spineless creatures who have no self-respect and are ruled by hormones. It's like these heroines have no identity without the man. I don't know women like that, do you? Wouldn't want to, either.

I've never met a woman like the ones I read in romance books. . I don't know why authors think this type shit is love because isn't.

message 49: by Winter (new) - added it

Winter Wish I read your review before reading this book. Worst part was at 70- 80% where he admits cheating. Whole book a waste. I hated him before and fiercely hated him after. The heroine was no better either. This author is not safe. Its unfortunate that I connect with her writing. But if this cycle keeps going on I will never be able to read her books.

message 50: by Gabby (new) - added it

oh my LORD 🤦‍♂️
