The Heart's Invisible Furies

This is one of those stories where a reader can become so immersed that they feel they are part of a character’s life.
This is Cyril’s story. It begins with his mother becoming pregnant at a young age and giving him up for adoption.
We grow up with him in Ireland and his struggles to fit in with parents who never fully ‘adopt’ him and the struggles he has being gay in a country and time that prohibits it.
So much heartache, heartbreak, tenderness, forgiveness and a life lived.
This story had me laughing, crying, longing. Truly a magnificent piece of writing. 5⭐️

You'll need the time too. It took me a while but was well worth it. Can't wait for your thoughts, Dianne

So happy that you LOVED this Jen.. I tell everyone it was my favorite of 2017, but... it just may be an all time favorite for sure!
Thanks Susanne! Believe it or not, I had this book out 3 tines from the library before I finally tackled it!
