Moon! Earth’s Best Friend by Stacy McAnulty, illustrated by Stevie Lewis. NONFICTION PICTURE BOOK. Henry Holt (Macmillan), 2019. $18. 9781250199348

BUYING ADVISORY: EL (K-3), EL - ESSENTIAL

AUDIENCE APPEAL: HIGH

McAnulty applies her talents to teaching us about the moon.

I was a bit surprised, because I guess I am a bit behind on my moon formation theories – I had no idea that the prevailing theory is that the moon formed from Earth debris after a collision billions of years ago. But McAnulty explains just enough for any young reader to get the gist of Moon facts in a very interesting way.
