I want my time back. ugh. Much like the other two books, this one is also a constant repetition of "trust me," "I swear I have no clue," and "I can't tell you that." It's so annoying. And the ending doesn't make up for it either. So, if you were on the fence about the first book...just don't even bother with the following two.

And if you started reading this book, and can't finish it, here's what happens (view spoiler)[ seriously, don't read the spoiler if you don't want to know exactly what happens....last chance (view spoiler)[ okay so we start off wife Mia in the hospital after Cade raped her and blew up her family home (killing her parents), she's struggling and thinking she's seeing Cade everywhere despite everyone saying she's safe. Everyone just thinks it's trauma, but he actually is there. No one can catch him on the security feeds at the house bc he's the one who installed them. Plus, everyone actually does keep leaving Mia alone in random places. And there's still the drugging of drinks and food happening.

Lincoln is Cade's uncle and has been grooming him to take power since his father passed. Gregory (Cade's dad) abused and groomed him to take over when he was old enough. Cade pops up one last time, Mia shoots him but lets him leaves (I guess she feels sorry for him). Bexley takes Cade's spot and starts making changes to the 'club'. At one point Mia kind of does go crazy and carves her brand off her chest.

Bexley proposes to Mia at the lake where they first met. The closest friends of the group move into a new home together. Bexley removes the Eligere tradition, but the Q say the Coglio tradition must still be upheld. Sasha gets initiated as the first female member and announces that she and Channing will finally be together. Bexley puts a twist on the Coglio traditions (more specifically the branding ceremony)...instead of branding, there's eternity rings. Following which he takes Mia to get a tattoo over her marred/scarred brand, that he's designed, and surprises her by getting the same one over his brand too. End of story. Literally, that's it. --Rating - 2 stars - this series could've probably just have been a standalone. Too much repetition
--Steam - 3 stars - it's really hot, but basically the same scene over and over, so I docked points
--Storyline - 2 stars - meh
--Plot Twists - 2 stars - not sure if I would call those 'plot twists'
--Emotional Pull - 1 star - yawn
--Writing - 3 stars - comfortable to read, minus the repetition
--Denouement - 3 stars - boring
--Cliffhanger? - no
--HEA? - yea

*Same disclaimer from the other books....rape, sex, abuse, shooting, drugs, PTSD, etc....if you can't take reading any of these topics, don't go near this series.
