I was one of the lucky advance copy readers for this new Author.
Oh man. after chapter 10 I had no idea was this book was going. The way it gradually escalated was terrific. I really felt Ethan's pain throughout the book even though the ending made me second doubt myself.
After I finished reading I read the blurb again and concluded it doesn't give this book the justice it deserves, but at the same time, I know why an author might have done it. Not knowing what the book is about is in a way more exciting.
