Well Kendall Ryan did it again....this is another one to add to my favorites shelf. I was a little nervous because after reading the prologue I was hooked but it also uncovered something I don't normally like to read about in books, but rest assured it is all explained by the end and I could except the explanation. I thought this was a great book!! As in typical Kendall Ryan fashion it was fairly fast paced and pretty steamy ;) I will say there were definitely different aspects to this book that we don't see in her other books. One being she created a character that I completely HATED right from the start and I still didn't like her at the end of the book. You will know exactly who I am talking about once you read this book. This book kept me intrigued all the way through and I had a really hard time putting it down. I am looking forward to see where this series goes and how everything turns out.

As for the characters....Emmy and Ben. I really liked Emmy, she was a sweet southern bell just trying to make it in the big city of New York doing something she loved....fashion!!!! After college she was hired on as a personal assistant to the Owner of Status Model Agency. This part of the book kind of reminded me of the movie The Devil wears Prada. Because her boss Fiona was just cruel and evil. Emmy was definitely a strong person to put up with her crap. At times the author did make Emmy look weak and very easily bendable but in the end she really showed that Emmy could stand on her own 2 feet and stand up for herself. As for Ben....I really have mixed feelings for him. Yes he was swoon worthy but he also lacked some sincerity in my opinion. There were times I had a hard time believing things he was telling Emmy. But by the end I truly did believe his feelings for Emmy and that he was wiling to do anything to make things right and to make things work with them. I have to say there were 2 instances that I really wish would've been handled better by Ben. I can't explain what I mean because it will give to much away, just know that he had a couple lapses in good judgement calls. I will say that I really liked Emmy and Ben together. Ben just needs to grow a pair of balls when it came to another character. I was glad to see that he sort of learned his lesson by the end. I am really hoping in the other books he makes things final with the other person.

As for side characters....I loved Ellie...she was a great friend and supporter to Emmy. I also loved how she told you how it was, she really didn't hold anything back :) Braydon was also a really great character. I love that he turned into a great friend for Emmy, someone she could trust in such a non trusting business. There is a part where Ellie and Braydon kind of connect and I am dying to see if it turns into more as the books go on :) I am not going to mention the character that I hated in this book, you will know as soon as she enters the picture.

I would definitely recommend this book to everyone, especially if you are a Kendall Ryan fan. To me she outdid herself with this book and storyline. I will give a heads up that this book has a To Be Continued ending. Emmy and Ben end in a good place but she left enough unanswered questions and unresolved issues out there that you know there is more to the story. This ending will not torture you ( In my opinion ) so I don't believe it is one that you would need to wait for the next book to come out.
