As I get older I find myself thinking about death a lot more and what’s waiting for us after, so I picked this up immediately when I saw it. I thought it would be some very deep insight into staring death in the face and a possible afterlife theories but instead I found this to be kind of a jumbled mess.
First half was about the authors near death scare and what was wrong with him with some huge medical lingo and jargon that went way over my head, and the second half was not really what I was hoping for, and had some different things that just left me wondering.
It’s a short read at 160 pages but I’m down the middle with this. 3 stars

Yeah Valerie, I know what you mean. Nobody can really say what’s after this because we just don’t know, and you’re right everything is just speculation. I think I just went into it, with a different attitude of this is exactly what I’ve been looking for, specifically at this moment of time in my life as if it were fate calling me to this certain book and then just being disappointed when things didn’t line up like I thought they would. But such is life and I really can’t dwell on it too much because there are so many other books to read!! 😀
Very disappointed because it looked good. I’ll put it on hold for now. This is the second book I’ve put to the side today. Thank you for reading and reviewing it.
It's a tall order for one book to provide "some very deep insight into staring death in the face and a possible afterlife theories". I've read a few accounts with little to moderate satisfaction individually but when considered all together, and mulled over a bit, have led me to the conclusion that all "insight" is speculation and one theory is just as "possible" as another. Still, can make for some wonderfully poderous reading. No one really knows, but we all find out eventually! Hope your next read is more to your liking 🤞.
