It was sorta cute but there were too many cringe moments for me to fully enjoy it.

It was impossible to not like Cassidy, he dedicated his life to being liked, he even had a little notebook to jot down things people like, (which may seem a little serial-killery, but it's not that kind of book). So yes, I admit, he had a lot of book boyfriend qualities and the romance was sweet, but he was also a terrible pushover and I just wished he grew a backbone because argh!!!

I liked the way he treated Marina and the way their romance progressed from an easy friendship to something more. The small town provided a great background for the story and it was all very cozy.

What surprised me was the whole bed sharing thing, because that's not what people do. Normal people get a cheap couch from ikea or an air mattress. You don't share a bed with a roommate! I like the only-one-bed trope but this was definitely an overkill.

Another thing that bothered me was the unprotected sex (and in the ocean of all places - yikes, that must have been uncomfortable!). Don't try this at home, kids!
